Can you use the default RequiredField Validator with the TextEditor or do I need to use the CustomValidator?
Also is there a way to make the editor smaller? I tried setting height and width, but nothing changes?
Thanks
Unfortunately, in the current version of WebTextEditor (WebTextEditor 1 build 250) it is not possible to use the default ASP.NET RequiredFieldValidator with the WebTextEditor control.
I have forwarded this to WebTextEditor development team under Task #1263. I will update this thread whenever I heard any news from the team regarding Task #1263.
I made a minor modification on View_PreviewContent.aspx sample file of WebTextEditor (click start > All Programs > Intersoft WebUI Studio 2012 R1 SP1 > WebUI Studio for ASP.NET > WebTextEditor > C# Samples) by setting the Height and Width property into smaller size. Everything worked as expected and the WebTextEditor was displayed in the correct size.
I'm using WebTextEditor 1 build 250 which comes with Intersoft WebUI Studio 2012 R1 SP1. Please feel free to inform us if you have different result.
Thanks Yudi,
Yes please let me know when Task #1263 gets updated. As for resizing, it must have been a caching problem becuase today the size and width are working properly! The joys of programming...
Thanks for help
John
You’re welcome, John.
Glad to hear that you have found a solution for the resizing problem. I will update this thread regarding the progress of Task #1263.
