Hi
When i have the CellClickAction="CellSelect" on the webgrid control a javascript error is generated when a postback event is fire on another control.
this only happens when using the preview row setting PreviewRowVisible="true"
The scenaro is as follows
1) expand preview row
2) click button that fires postback evet.
3) javascript error before page load event fired.
In our application this is stopping the user nagivating to another page.
we can get around this issue by changing to "RowSelect"
but still...............
aspx page code attached
thanks
Peter
Hi Peter,
We have a WebGrid Sample which uses PreviewRow (PreviewRowDisplay.aspx), I changed the click action into CellSelect. When postback with a button it worked fine. So, would you mind send me more details about the issue? Also, I could not find you attachment in this thread.
Regards,
Lili Khiung
please find attached example project that produces this error
I have just tried the webgrid sample PreviewRowDisplay.aspx
i set CellClickAction
and i get the java script error fired. this occurs if button added or using refresh
Thank you for your sample. We are able to replicate the issue now. We will investigate this issue further with our developers. We will inform you about the update.

Do you have any update on when a fix for this will be available. Our users are apparently using the cell select functionality to copy data from individual cells

Currently, your issue has been reported to the developer team to be investigated further. You will be notified when a fix is available, unfortunately I can't offer any information on a timeframe on this fix.
I will let you know as soon as I get the update from the team.
