In the row editing phase, pressing tab the cell related to the column with NoEdit set is not considered and the focus go on the nextEditable cell.
Anyway if we set the property ForceNoEdit for a cell, pressing tab this cell is not skipped, how to skip the cell with ForceNoEdit=true while tab pressing action?
Thanks,
Vince, you can expect the official service pack to be available by next week. The service pack includes cumulative enhancements and stability improvement which involves framework and various products.
Thus, the HotFix will not be made available this month. The HotFix will continue to be made available after the service pack (next month and so).
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Hi,We have recently released WebUI Studio 2009 R2 Service Pack 1 which includes the fix for this issue (WebGrid 7.0.7200.401).Please click here to read the official press release.
You could also read which fix or enchancement included in the latest build by visiting the support page and clicking the control name located on the Right Pane "Latest Builds".
Regards,Handy
Vincenzo,
When you set a cell as not editable at client-side, please use SetForceNoEdit() method instead of setting the property.
With the method call, it will properly mark the cell as not editable, which will then be skipped by WebGrid during keyboard navigation (such as when pressing tab).
Let me know how it goes at your end.
Hi,
we already use .SetForceNoEdit(true) but the cell is not skipped during keyboard navigation.
Do we need to install any hotfix?
Vincenzo
Vincenzo, what WebGrid version are you using currently?
We use the R1 7.0.7200
Okay, it seems an enhancement is made in the latest build which is going to be released in the cumulative service pack next week. So using SetForceNoEdit is already correct, and should work fine after you applied SP1 build later on.
Thanks!
Okay, thanks.
Could you inform me when the official HotFix is available for the download?
Vince
I tried it on last version on row type equal to record it works, anyway on newRow we have the old behaviour so we need the same behaviour also in the newRow.
Hi Vince,
I can replicate it. I will also report this to our developer. Thanks.
when do you think we could have a hotfix for this issue?
I have asked our developer teams and they said the fix would be included in R2 release which is in the end of this month.
I have just tested the R2 release and the bug has not been fixed yet.
Could you provide us an hotfix for that?
do you have any news about the bugfix?
Hi Vincenzo,
I just got news from our developer teams that the fix would be available in the next release.
could we have that hotfix? so at least we can try, before the next release incomnig.
Hi Vicenzo,
I would talk to our deveoper teams about this. The currect fix is under unrelease hotfix which we are still in the middle development and fix some issues in there. If it is stable enough and safe to be sent, i will let you know.
Please apply the WebUIFramework and WebGrid hotfix that i sent to you. Your issue should be resolved.
Hi Handy,
we have tested the patch in attachment and applied by instruction (http://www.intersoftpt.com/Build/ApplyHotfix) and the test result is not OK. In the image in attach, you can see that after the tab the focus goes still on the cell with ForceNoEdit=true.
regards
Fabrizio
Hi Fabrizio,
It works ok in here. Please see my attached sample and also please also ensure you have applied the latest hotfixes in your project bin folder. I have reattached the hotfix in another thread. Please let me know if I am missing something in order to replicate your issue.
thank you, it is ok, there was my mistake (not good visual studio refresh).
When this fix will be available by Update Manager tool ?
best regards
Glad to hear that it works. Unfortunately, we haven't decided the fix date but I believe the fix should be ready in the short time.
