I have modified the WebGrid Samples, IntegrationwithWebCombo.NET.aspx to reproduce this problem.
- Refresh Page
- Optionally Type a ProductID of 1 and press the Tab Key
- Optionally select a SupplierID of "Exotic Liquids" and press the Tab Key
- Type a Product name of "d" and press the Tab Key
All data that was entered in the new row is cleared.
Try re-entering data again and the data is not cleared.

I can replicate the issue. I will forward this to our developer teams. For temporary workaround, you can try to set Highlight settings in WebInput properties.

Type="Phrase" would not allow me to type in the WebInput.
After removing it allowed me to type.
I appears not to be needed as part of the temporary workaround.
