After update Google Chrome to latest version (43.0.2357.65 m) lots of controls don't work properly, also Intersoft Official sample doesn' t work . It looks like some JavaScript issue.
example: http://live.intersoftpt.com/Default.aspx?url=cs/WebGrid/ColumnAction.aspx
screen shot in attachment
The new version of chrome has caused the webscheduler control to improperly render causing the control to be unusable. Reverting chrome back to previous version works fine until it auto updates the users browser over and over again and it appears there is no way to stop the auto chrome update without hacking the users registry.
Please help as our application is centric to the webscheduler control!
Frank Gary
it looks like a general problem with JS after call stack size excced error, whole page with intersoft controls is unusable. i've attached a screenshot menu bar sample with google chrome inspector.
Hi all,
For your information, We have released a hotfix for Chrome 43 support. Please find the hotfix on attachment. To apply the hotfix, you could refer to the step-by-step instruction on "To apply WebUI.NET Framework hotfix" section at http://www.intersoftpt.com/Support/ASPNET/Tutorial/Text/Apply-ASPNET-product-hotfix-manually/.
Best Regards,Leo
Did anyone get Leo's update to work?
We tried in vain for 6 hours to get the update to work to no avail. Our webscheduler control is still broken after users updated to chrome 43.
We are having the exact same issue as outlined in Michal Podbielski's post. Our webscheduler is unusbale and our commercial app is broken.
Please advise!
Yea our grids are now broken in Chrome, but the fix only made things worse.
Hi Eric and Frank,
I would like to confirm what version of webgrid and WebSchedulerthat you have used. For your information, the hotfix has been tested by me for WebGrid 9.0.7200.1 and WebScheduler 4.0.1000.4 on FirstExperience.aspx sample. If you have used older version, please consider to update your control.
Also please make sure that you have applied the hotfix correctly. The final result after applying this hotfix (on Development Server) would be ISNet.dll, ISNet.WebUI.dll, ISNet.WebUI.Design.dll, ISNet.WebUI.Editor.v4.dll and ISNet.WebUI.Silverlight.dll on GAC was updated with the latest version (Properties > Version > File Version : 3.0.5000.914) and ISNet.WebUI.Resources.dll on your project bin folder was updated with the latest version 3.0.5000.914.
Leo,
We were able to get the updates implemented and the webscheduler control is now functional again.
Our previous attempts to implement the updates were failing due to gac assembly conflicts.
We really appreciate your quick responses to this issue and sincerely thank you for saving our reputation.
Thanks again,
Anoyone else having problems with the WebCombos? Im on WebCombo 6.0.7200. Nothing is listed in the dropdown, just the number 6.
Nevermind. I see the webcombo is included in the hotfix
This fix works on Webgrid 8.0.7200?
@Luis DamasOur hotfix actually targetting the WebGrid Framework which is WebUI, so if you apply our hotfix, all of your WebGrid components will be repaired.
I have applyed the hot fix but all things remain the same.
You can see the picture.
@Luis DamasIs that your Live Project or Local Project? For Local you shouldn't just drag and drop the assemblies to GAC but rather uninstall it then reapply the assemblies, for Live you must apply to each project bin (no need server restart)
