When I click on items in a webmenu I see the following javascript error.
Message: 'ClientSideEvents.OnMenuItemSelect' is null or not an objectLine: 7Char: 43724Code: 0URI: http://localhost:3855/WebDesktop/ISRes.axd?D/WebMenu.js/307200306
The webmenu is still functional but this error keeps occurring.
This is from the VB Samples of the Webdesktop item.
The form is HandlingClientSideEvents.aspx in the WebMenu subfolder.
Using the latest nightly build the issue has already been fixed by our developer. You could try donwloading the latest WebDesktop nightly build here
Our suggestion when applying a new build is to copy all the new dll to you project bin folder. If you are not using SmartWebResources, you will also need to copy the new javascript to your CommonLibrary.
A recommended step afterward is to clear your browser cache and temporary ASP .NET folder, default location in C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files, in order to remove any cache / reference to the previous build.
It seems the issue is caused by a bug. A bug report has been submitted to the developer. We will inform you if there is any update or progress regarding this issue.
Okay.
Thank you
I have the same issue.
When is it supposed to be fixed? Kind of urgent for me..
I have increased the priority of the issue. However, since our developer is taking a holiday leave for christmas, the earliest update / progress regarding this issue will most likely be available by January 2010.
Glenn,
Thank you for the update.
What is the best way to install the build and to make sure my project updates correctly?
Best regards,
Mark
I installed the new build and everything works great now.
Thank you very much!
