Hello,
When multiple item selection is enabled in WebCombo, how do I have one DataTextField appear per row. No matter what I do, the height of the control remains about 20px. When I select 3 names, it has text that is not visible.
Thank you
You can adjust the height by customizing Frame Style and TextBox style properties. But the text would not behave like you want. It is our WebCombo default behaviour. But i think, i would be weird if we make it to be each row because WebCombo list items could be many. Maybe wrap into multiline should be the idea. If you want, please post this as feature request at developer network>>Community Center>>Product feedback>> Feature Request. Our developer would see the possiblities to enhance the future.

Hi Alex,We have recently released WebUI Studio 2009 R2 Service Pack 1 which includes the fix for this issue >> Adjust height of WebCombo (WebCombo 4.0.7200.219).Please click here to read the official press release.
You could also read which fix or enchancement included in the latest build by visiting the support page and clicking the control name located on the Right Pane "Latest Builds".
Can you please provide specifics on how to do this? The press release is vague. Please provide the specific settings needed to make this work.
Thanks in advance!
David
Hello David,
Previously, we cannot resize height of WebCombo via design or properties. The previous workaround was adjusting the height via Frame Style and TextBox style properties. But with latest hotfix, you should able do it via design or height properties.
Thanks Handy,
The latest release works to set Height. The idea of changing the height is to display all the selected items that are cut off otherwise.
Do you know a way to make the SepatorChar a new line?
If I set it to <br/>, I see "<br/>" instead of the default of semicolon ";".
I would like to code something like this: MultipleSelectionSettings-SeparatorChar=" " (e.g., \r\n) Also, LayoutSettings-AllowTextWrapping="true" seems to have no effect LayoutSettings-AllowTextWrapping="true" seems to have no effect Thanks in Advance, David

In the current version of WebCombo 4, the WebCombo 4 text box uses input type=text object.
According to the documentation of W3C, click here for more detail, the text INPUT element creates a single-line input control. It is recommended to use TEXTAREA element to create a multi-line input control.
Enabling the AllowTextWrapping property in WebCombo only applied to WebCombo ResultBox. It seems that text wrapping on WebCombo’s textbox is such scenario that is not supported in current version of WebCombo 4 (build 219) yet.
Hope this helps.
That's disappointing.
Can someone for Intersoft let me know if this is a feature that will be provided soon? I would like to be able to tell our company President and V.P. a date when this will be provided.
The cutting off of text in Multi Selection mode is not diserable. Our users want to be able to see everything selected without have to navigate inside the textbox and to pick up scroll bar when needed.
According to what Yudi writes above, this appears to be easily accomplished by changing the type to TEXTAREA.
I have forwarded this to WebCombo development team as feature request. A work item has been submitted, Task #674, regarding this feature request. The team will check the feasibility to implement this feature in the next build of WebCombo 4.
I’ll keep you updated with any news I heard from the team regarding this.
Yudi, Is there any news on this? Please send an email update to dave@prism-grp.com
We haven't heard any news from our developer teams yet. I will try to contact our developer teams and will let you know the result.
Handy,
I'm waiting to hear from you.

Hello Dave,
I am sorry for the late response. It seems the feature would be implemented in the short time. Currectly, our WebCombo is a default textbox. So, we will need a major revamp in WebCombo architecture and still try to find the best way to implement this feature.
When do you anticipate that this feature will be available?
Thanks!
There is no exact time to implement this feature. I will need to ask our developer teams about the detail. But as far I know, it would not be implemented in the short time because of the reason I told you before.
