I have a loadondemand model implemented with webcombo. I set the AllowAddItem option to true. When the person enters something that is not in the datasource and there is a postback, the webcombo's text is lost. Meaning the text is not persisted through postback. How can the text be persisted through postback?
The new item can be persisted through postback on OnAddItem WebCombo server side event.
I enclose one simple sample of WebCombo with LoadOnDemand scenario and AllowAddItem enabled. This sample will set the new item string as TextBox control (TextBox1) text.
Simply type any name like “Patrick”, for example, and then press “Enter” button to invoke the OnAddItem WebCombo server side event.
