Try setting the TreatMarkupAsLiteralText to true.
When i set it to false it works fine and when its true it ends in the problem i have descriped in the previous posts
Thanks for the reply. I agree with the otpions, but the problem i face is that the & character disappears. For ex: if we type compa&ny, the characters &ny gets cleared from the filter input box.

Are you using version 7 for the sample.
If so to do the search no need to use **&**, the problem am facing is if we enter for ex: compa&ny, after compa the rest gets cleared. use the filter option equal to. try entering only & it gets cleared from the filter box.
