Anyboy know how can to pass 3 parameters to my ISDatasource, and another question, its possible to get some examples to wok with Chidtables, please?
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Thank you for your recent inquiry about how to work with parameters on ISDataSource control.
We have a simple sample of ISDataSource which shows how to work with parameter. Please check UsingFilterParameter.aspx sample file in ISDataSource sample project or check the live version in http://live.intersoftpt.com/cs/ISDataSource/UsingFilterParameters.aspx.
The sample shows how to work with a single parameter, in this case is the FilterParameter. Another sample, UsingMultipleFilterParameters.aspx (the live sample version is available at: http://live.intersoftpt.com/cs/ISDataSource/UsingMultipleFilterParameters.aspx), demonstrates how to use multiple parameters in ISDataSource.
Detail explanation about this topic can be found in ISDataSource documentation under How-to: Utilize FilterParameters article.
About the scenario to work with ChildTable, I’d like to suggest you to check the HierarchicalGrid.aspx sample file of WebGrid (the live version of this sample is available at http://live.intersoftpt.com/cs/WebGrid/HierarchicalGrid.aspx). This sample shows WebGrid binding hierarchical data (root table and child table). ISDataSource control is used in order to perform Hierarchical Binding to WebGrid.
Hope this helps. Please feel free to let us know if you have another questions.
Many thanks for your help, now it is clear for me.
but I have this error "could not find a non-generic method 'GetData' that has no parameters".
Any idea?
I’m willing to advise you further but in order to do so I would need you to elaborate on your specific scenario and possibly give me a running simple sample which replicates the problem that I can use to observe the issue.
