Hello Crosslight Support,
it seems like Crosslight 4 is available. But there are a lot of things missing.
- In my account there is no new license for Crosslight 4 available for download
- The newly designed Intersoft website seems very incomplete so far. I can not request a trial, many pictures are missing, tabs don't work as expected, ...
- Even here in the community forum things don't work as expected. The selected "Type" and "Post in" information is not selected. Both dropdowns remaing empty. I am using IE11 under Win8.1. I really hope Crosslight 4 is more complete than your relaunched internet presence.
So how can I start using Crosslight 4? When will I have a new license under my account? Where can I download Crosslight 4?
Thanks,
Thomas
Dear Thomas,
Thanks for your feedback on our new website. The new website should be complete and fully functional in most major browsers including Windows Edge. However, in deed, we cover less on IE, rest assured that we will continually enhancing our experience for IE at daily basis. At the meantime, please try using Chrome or Firefox for the best experience.
The new Crosslight license is scheduled to be delivered to active subscribers in batch, which should complete within 24 hours of release.
Hope this helps.
And where can I download Crosslight 4?
Request a trial to get the current installer?
Hello Thomas,
At this time, new licenses have been completely sent to all our active subscribers. Please check your email, or sign-in to your account to download Crosslight 4.
Enjoy!
Hi,
I sucessfully installed Mobile Studio 2015 R1 but when I trey to add the new license using the license manager at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Intersoft Solutions\Crosslight 4\common\LicenseManager" it tells me that "All installed Intersoft products have been licensed" even if it shows only Crosslight 3 having a license.
How do I make Crosslight 4 license show in license manager?
best regards, Mike
Hello Mihail,
Could you try to run the License Manager with administrator privilege? You can do so by right clicking on the file in Windows Explorer, then choose Run as Administrator.
Please let me know if the issue persisted.
I was not able to install Crosslight 4 with the Mobile Studio installer. I received an error. Please, see attached screenshot. The error message says "The given account already exists". Whatever this means.
To install Crosslight 3, I had a remote session with Yudi, who did some registry "hacks". I was hoping the installer would work better this time, but it did not. Please, provide me a solution how to install Crosslight 4.
manually uninstalling Crosslight 3 makes the Crosslight 4 installer work. Is it not possible to use Crosslight 3 and Crosslight 4 side by side?
Now, I have a problem with the license manager. I run the license manager as administrator and it shows my active Crosslight 3 license. Clicking the add button says "all products have been licensed". When I delete the Crosslight 3 license and click the add button, I can only select "Crosslight Version 3.0.5000" in the dropdown. There is no Crosslight 4.
I had exactly the same problem with Crosslight 3. As I mentoined before, I had to start a remote session with Yudi to hack the registry to get Crosslight installed. Please, provide me a solution for the license problem.
I just "hacked" my registry entries myself.
Deleting the following nodes solves the problem:
- Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Intersoft Solutions
- Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Intersoft Solutions\Crosslight\3.0.5000
Is this the way you want us to install Crosslight major releases?
Hey guys,
Tried running the license manager as admin but with no luck.
Tried Thomas Albert's trick and also with no luck. Went and uninstalled everything and re-installed fresh and still no luck.
It seems the license binary might be configured to see only up to Crosslight 3 and hence misses v4.
Regards, Mihail
The License Manager should work with Crosslight 4 since it's version independent. The new products will be auto-discovered as they become available through installer. In certain cases, the new products are somehow failed to be discovered which we aren't able to reproduce thus far.
Could you check if the following node existed in your registry? Either HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Intersoft Solutions\Crosslight\4.0.5000 or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Intersoft Solutions\Crosslight\4.0.5000.
Thomas' workaround is near correct, but here's the solution that will actually work:- Uninstall Mobile Studio- Delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Intersoft Solutions- Delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Intersoft Solutions
Typically those two nodes will be deleted during uninstall, but the Windows Installer is just unreliable in some rare cases (such as when it doesn't have sufficient privilege etc). And that's a truly clean state. Reinstall Mobile Studio again should solve the License Manager issue.
This worked, thank you!
Hello Thomas, Mihail,
Thanks for reporting the license manager issues.
It appears there is newer License Manager that has addressed the problem. If you encounter the issues again in the future, or for any customers experiencing similar problem in this release, please use the newer License Manager in the attachment of this post.
