Good day,
I recently got this exception when using ValidationTooltip on a UXTextbox with a custom Style.
In the sample project, I placed 2 UXTexbox controls, one with a custom style and the other without. The control without the style works without any problem and the ValidationTooltip is displayed, however, the control with the style don't.
The style was created using Edit Template -> Edit a Copy. In this sample I haven't modified the style.
When focus on control with the style, I get an exception on IsOpen property.
I have recorded a video showing the steps to reproduce the problem.
Since I was not able to upload mp4 files, I uploaded it to my dropbox (for a better quality, right click on the link below and save):

Note: I've also tested with the UXPasswordBox and there's no problem with this control. However, I haven't tested with the remaining controls. So, please take into account the others.
Please, let me know if there's more information needed.
Regards,
Dave
Hi again,After an hour looking for a workaround, I finally found the solution. The Template created is buggy, replacing the code in ValidationErrorElement did the trick.I have attached both xaml, one with filename "UXTextBoxStyle_NotWorking.xaml" contains the auto generated template, the other "UXTextBoxStyle_Working.xaml" contains the workaround.Regards,Dave
Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding generated style from edit template of UXTextBox. I also would like to thank you for the sent sample and video. I was easily able to reproduce the reported problem in my local end.
The generated style is somehow not complete. There are some elements or key that miss. I have forwarded this problem to ClientUI Development team. The problem is filed under work item 1531.
I will keep you informed with any news I heard from the team regarding work item #1531.
