Hi,
I'm working on Win7 (x64). After full reinstall and register constrols (IS 2010r2), I try to open any IS sample but SL project doesn't see reference to System.Windows.Interactivity.
When I create new project base on template: Intersoft ClientUI Advanced Navigation Application I've got error when MainPage.xaml is rendered in VS2010. Project doesn't see System.Windows.Interactivity also.
Aby idea?
Best regards
Andrzej
The reference file, System.Windows.Interactivity.dll, will be shipped into the next installer in order to avoid such problem discussed in this thread.
Hope this helps.
The reference file, System.Windows.Interactivity.dll, can be obtained from %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft SDKs\Expression\Blend\Silverlight\v4.0\Libraries\System.Windows.Interactivity.dll.
The issue is quite odd and we have not received such reports so far. I tried to reproduce the issue in my local test by creating a new project using ClientUI Advanced Navigation template and was unable to reproduce the issue.
It seems that you need to add the reference manually.
Hi Yudi,
There is no Expression directory in my "Microsoft SDKs".
I've checked my developer notebook with Vista, there is no Expression directory also, but I was working on it without any problem
One thing: I've tried template (as describe above) on IS2010r2.exe which was downloaded before 2011-01-11 - maybe it's problem ?1 (I've got a problem with Trial version message after activate ClientUI)
Tommorow morning I'll reinstall IS
regards
I've reinstalled 2010r2 again (I don't count how many times) and the same problem occured. As I explain in previous post I haven't SDK Expression on my computer (Win7 Prof x64)
There is a strange, but everything working fine on my another two computer with VISTA OS (x86) where there is no SDK Expression too.
When I've installed Microsoft Expression Blend Software Development Kit (SDK) for Silverlight 4 problem disappear.

The assembly, System.Windows.Interactivity.dll can be found in the Expression Blend SDK which is a free download. And yes, you are correct; it also gets installed with Expression Blend.

Hi Andrzej,
In your other two computers that work without Expression SDK, could you share where the reference is actually found? You can check it by clicking on the reference in Visual Studio, and press F4 to bring up the property window.
My point is that, if the reference existed in a normal Silverlight installation, we might not need to ship it separately. Otherwise, it seems we have to ship the assembly in our installer to avoid this problem.
Thanks,Jimmy
Hi
In my other two computer System.Windows.Interactivity dll has a path directly in Bin/Debug directory for all SL projects.
Im my win7 computer the Path is (after installed SDK):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Expression\Blend\Silverlight\v4.0\Libraries\System.Windows.Interactivity.dll
