Hi,

You will need to set Grouped Columns initially, not manually from ContextMenu. When set GroupedColumns initially, you need to set GroupInterval properties to Date value.

e.g 

 <GroupedColumns>
        <ISWebGrid:WebGridGroup ColumnMember="BirthDate" GroupInterval="Date" SortOrder="Ascending" />
 </GroupedColumns>

 is not working here.

Also my actual field contains date and time, is it possible to display time on any other column. if possible how can i do this?

Hm, weird. I set GroupMode="Expanded" and all the group would be expanded. Also, it seems you could not display time on another column. Even though you succeed, it would very hard to mantain ,except it is handled from your database. If you still want the time to be visible so the user can know the information, i suggest you set HideColumnsWhenGrouped="No". With this way, the information of time should be still available.

the method you suggested for grouping with below code is working for me

But my problems is if i include the following code

GroupInterval="Date"

 then i am not able to delete the rows. i am getting the error as shown in the below attached image .

Deletion working fine if i exclude the above given code. But i am not able to the grouping on the basis of date only (without time). 

please reply its an urgent....

Unfortunately, i could not replicate your issue. Please test my sample and let me know if it works fine on you or not. You can try to add and delete. Also, please remember to set DataKeyField in your RootTable level. Hope this helps.

Weird, in here it works well. Please see my recording video. Please ensure you have used the latest hotfix (WebGrid and WebUIFramework). Also, please let me know your WebGrid version. Have also set DataKeyField properties? I would be also more helpful if you can send me simple sample that replicates the issue (or modiffy my sample).

So, My sample did work well like I showed you at video? But you said that it did not work before. 
Here, i also attached video when I am in BatchUpdate scenario. It works well too.
Please show me a recording about how you replicate the issue on my sample. I need it to investigate your issue. 

Please also let me know your WebGrid and WebUIFramework build version.
Our latest build for WebGrid is 306 and 705 for WebUIFramewrok.
You can check it by right clicking>>Properties>>version in each assemblies.

My versions are 

ISNet.WebUI.WebGrid.dll version is 306

Intersoft.SampleFramework.V2009.dll is 1.0

ISNet.WebUI.Resources.dll is 705

Where can i get the latest asseblies. 

Here i am attaching your example file from which i got error. please check the same file in your system and let me know are you getting any error. 

I worked by keeping this files with the default example folder of webgrid on the installed path.

Yes, it is a bug. Actually, it is already fixed in unrelease hotfix. But this hotfix are used to be on development because we are going into our next release. I will discuss to our developer and will let you know if it is possible to send you the hotfix or not.

I am sorry to ask you again. It seems the new hotfix required to use a new framework which still in the middle of release and development. Personally, i don't suggest you to get the fix first because we are still working on the assemblies because some of issues which some of known issues in development still need to be fixed first. So, could you please wait a little longer to get the fix?
