I create a simple sample based on your scenario and do the test (preserving checked rows after FlyPostBack) with the test page. the result is that I was unable to repro the issue on my end using the sample (the sample is enclosed as attachment within this post).

Could you please kindly test the attached page on your end and let us know the result?

*For your information, the build version of WebGrid 7 and WebUI.NET Framework 3.0 that I use is the same build version that comes with Intersoft WebUI Studio 2009 R2 SP1 (WebGrid 7 build 401 and WebUI.NET Framework 3.0 build 751).

I forgot to mention that in the sample page of grid in file system project it was workling fine.

only in our environment it is not working and that;s why i asked what are all the possibilities of not retaining the checkbox state.

Have you managed to test the attached sample on my previous post?

I suggest you to test the sample on two different environments. The first one is on a clean file system/localhost website and the other one is on your own project. The result should be the same.

If the result is different, then there might be some configuration on your project that may cause the difference. Do you have any information so that I can assist you better on this issue?

I found scenario which is causing the problem.

Lhs grid is a self reference grid and RHS is a normal webgrid.

Based on the selection of row in LHS grid we are doing RefreshAll call for  the RHS grid.

RHs grid Details and column will change.

When doing this checkbox is not retaining.

I have tested the same scenario with your sample page also.Add a button to your sample page and call javascrirpt which will refresh the grid data and structure.then click the checbox and navigate to 2 nd page and come back to first page the checkbox won't be selected.

Please check and advice.

This issue only happens in WebGrid 6 and has been fixed in WebGrid 7. I have tested the same scenario using WebGrid 7 latest build that comes with Intersoft WebUI Studio 2009 R2 SP1 installer.

I suggest you to upgrade your WebGrid to WebGrid 7 since we’re no longer provide hotfix for WebGrid 6.

There are lot of customers using our product which is internally using Webgrid 6.0.

We can upgrade to Webgrid7 only for our new version of our product.

For existing version of our product we have to use Webgrid 6 only.

please provide a fix for this issue.

I have forwarded this issue to WebGrid development team. A work item, #625, has been submitted regarding this minor glitch.
I’ll keep you updated with any new I heard from the team regarding this work item.

The official hotfix for WebGrid 6 should be available by the end of this month along with the regular hotfix release schedule.

I’d like inform you about the status of work item #625.

WebGrid development team has managed to get the issue resolved in WebGrid 7 and WebGrid 6. I have tested the nightly build of the hotfix and found that the issue no longer persists.

Should you need to have the nightly build hotfix to be tested on your local end, please let us know.
