Hi Support Team,
1) In the attached sample we have integrated the excel icon to the status bar. On Click of the excel icon for a fraction of second we are getting HTTP 404 error. We have attached the "Intersoft Export Error.docx".
2) How to set the Name for the Exported document from client side itself using javascript. Itried with "Export Title" but it is not working. We can set from Server side using "Report Name" but ineed form client side.
3) On click of Export icon "WebGrid Enterprice Report" popup will open. Can we close that poopup using javascript or onclick of "Open" can we close the main window?
Please give the solution to resolve these issues.

Hello,Thank you for the sample.1) I have tried to run your attached sample by running the “Default.aspx” file and then I try to export the WebGrid to Excel. But unfortunately, it works fine on my end. I attached the video regarding the result on my end.2) Currently, WebGrid only can set the report name from server side event.3) You could use “close()” JavaScript method to close the browser window. I apologize for the inconvenience.I have replied you email from Intersoft Developer Network as well.Regards,Hans K.
What is the final solution to this.. i am also getting the similar issue .. only when exporting to excel i have a isssue.. exporting to pdf and other formats seem to work
Hi Hans,
Can you please provide the Javascript code for the shared sample in order to close the ”WebGrid.Net Enterprise Report” window ? We are facing the same issue with Webgrid 8.0.
Thanks,
Prasanna
I'm afraid that currently there is no method on closing the browser window programmatically. It is the default behavior by the browser itself.
I have tried using JavaScript to close the browser window with no luck.
I have forwarded this to WebGrid development team as feature improvement. The report is filed under ASPNET-182.
I'll keep you updated with any news I heard from the team regarding ASPNET-182.
