Hello,
I have a project developed under ASP.NET 1.1 that the customer wants/needs ported to AST.NET 2.0+
But when I run the application from VS 2008 in order to debug it i get the following error on pages with the WebGrid Control:
WebGrid.NET - Unlicensed versionThe system is unable to find the license needed to run this component. For more information about the License Agreement of this component, please visit Intersoft Website or send email to Intersoft Accounts DeptCheck lists: * Make sure you entered correct license key (not RuntimeLicenseKey) during Installation. * License key is Case Sensitive.
The version of the webgrid is 6.0.7200. Not sure about the input and combo controls becasue all the pages with those controls have a page with a grid in front of them.
Any thoughts?

Hi Tim,
Usually, with that particular kind of error, it happends when you have entered a wrong license key. One, may be, instead of license key, you have entered a run-time license key. Secondly, this is occured because you have entered a wrong lincese key for a different version.
So, please ensure that you use a right version for that specific license key. Also, may I know your OS environment please? Does it run on Windows 32 or 64 bits? Also , ensure that you have used a right .dll file version in your bin project's folder.
Thank you and have a nice day.
Best Regards,
Andi Santoso
I am on 64 bit Vista. I will check the license key
I removed the license key for WebGrid, and then readded it by copy and paste from the developer web site, making sure there were no leading or trailing spaces. i then rebooted and tried running the web application again. I got the same error.
i then verified the version number in the bin directory of the project: 6.0.7200.113. I cen send you a screen shot of the license keys to a support email address if necessary.
Since you are using 64-bit operating system, you may need to run the ISRegx64 tool which comes with WebUI Studio 2009 R2 SP1 installer.
Hope this helps.
Ok,
We may be making some progress, i installed WebUI Studio 2009 R2 SP1 in order to get ISReg64. I ran it. now all the control show up, but it says i have a trial license, the license manager still shows the grid license as valid. I removed and readded the grid contorl license, still says "trial"
any thoughts?
Tim
Please let me know your contact email address. We would need to talk about your license issue via email due to any confidential things.
