Hi, I am seeing an issue in the asp.net web page that used web desktop and web grid control. When clicked on the Web desktop panel item the browser comes back with a message 'Unable to get Property 'Enabled' of underfined or null reference.
web desktop version: 4.0
web grid version: 9.0
Browser: IE8-10
Backgroud: Previousely i was using the intersoftstudio2008R1. Now i migrated the same solution to intersoftstudio 2014R1. For the migration i replaced only the dlls and html doctype changed to use html 5 version. Please let me know what i am missing here.
For reference i have attached the screen shot of the message.
Sorry for the delay in sending this.
Could you please confirm whether you have set the RenderingMode property to the correct value based on the type of the page's doctype?
I tried to replicate the reported problem in my end by adding a simple WebGrid into Pane01 of ShowHide.aspx sample page of WebExplorerPane with no luck. Everything worked smoothly and the content was accessed without any issues.
I'm willing to advise you further but in order to do so I would need you to elaborate on your specific scenario and possibly give me a simple page which replicate the issue and step-by-step guide that can be used to observe the problematic behavior.
Thanks for your Response.
After setting the Rendering mode to HTML5 application displays the same error. I have attached the sample code for reference. Let me know what i am missing here.
I re-create a simple WebDesktopManager based on the provided sample code. However, I still have no clue about how to open OPSCreate.aspx page. I suspect that it is handled in OnPaneItemClick client-side event of WebExplorerPane1.
I enclosed my sample for reference. Could you please help me with adding the code required to display/open OPSCreate.aspx page?
Sorry. I missed that part.
Attached has the application sample which covers all the aspects which i need in the actual application.
Please help me.
Hi Yudi,
Any updates on this.
And also please let me know what are the configuration settings requred in the web configuration file.
Thank you for the WebDesktopManager.zip file. I will re-configure my sample based on the provided application sample.I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
I didn't hear anything from you. It's been a week i am wating for the solution.
Apologize for the delay in sending this.
I have modified the sample and tested on IE 9; IE 10; and IE 11. The reported problem doesn't persist.
To test on different version of IE browser, I use the emulation feature in IE 11 Developer Tools. Please kindly check the video which shows how the page is rendered on different version of IE.
Should you find anything that I might miss during my attempt to reproduce the problem, please feel free to let me know.
Could you please help me on how to deploy the application which is consuming the intersoft controls to windows server 2012.
Please let me know the settings that are requried in the configuration file.
I assume that the Windows Server 2012 is the production server, where projects which uses Intersoft controls will be deployed. If correct, then you can follow this article: to install IIS 8 on Windows Server 2012. One more thing to notice is: ASP.NET applications require migration when specifying configuration in <httpModules> or <httpHandlers>. You can follow the WebUI Studio tutorial, Configure Intersoft Products to Run in IIS7 Environment, which provides a step-by-step instruction on how to configure Web Site to run in IIS7 environment.
Hope this helps.
