I have notice a problem with dragging a window in Chrome andalso FireFox( for some reason this is working in IE)
When dragging/moving a window and your mouse leaves the WebDesktopManager Canvas for some reason the mouse up event does not fire.
This results in the window is still in a drag state when your mouse enters the canvas again.
Is there a javascript function that if your mouse leaves the canvas that the dragged window is “dropped”?
Based on your information, I made a minor modification to SimpleWebDesktop.aspx (available in WebDesktop sample file). The details are:
The list below shows the step-by-step in order to reproduce the reported problem in my local end.
However, I was unable to replicate the reported problem in my local end by using this sample. For your information, I'm using WebDesktop 4.0.7200.14 and WebUI.NET Framework 3.0.5000.913.
Should you find anything that I might miss during my attempt to reproduce the problem, please feel free to let me know.
Sorry for the late reply.
I still get the same problem regarding this.
Just a correction, on step 3: When the mouse leaves the browser window not the WebDesktopManager.
My WebDesktop height is 100% also width set to 100%
... My WebDesktop height is 100% also width set to 100%
The above hints helps me to reproduce the problem in my local end. It turns out that I have to drag the WebDesktopWindow until mouse pointer leaves the browser's window.
The reported problem has been forwarded to WebDesktop development team to be investigated further. It is filed under ASPNET-314. I will keep you updated with any news I heard from the team regarding ASPNET-314.
Any feedback?
Hi Andre,
This issue's been fixed. You can try it out by applying the latest hotfix which is attached below.
To apply the hotfix, see the following instructions:
1. Extract the hotfix file, for example : WebDesktopNET5_0_7200_46.zip.
2. Copy the entire contents of \bin folder and paste it to [Installation Folder]\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\WebDesktop.NET 5.0\Bin.
3. Copy the entire contents of \script folder and paste it to [Installation Folder]\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\CommonLibrary\WebDesktop\V5_0_7200 folder.
Also, don't forget to renew the assemblies in your project to see the result.
Best Regards,Erwin Sanders
