Hello,
I have recently replicated the known issue regarding Dual Monitors in our application and have applied the suggested fix (to set the ResultBoxWindowType property to 'Normal'). However, although the result box now shows on the dual monitor it also shows the status bar at the bottom. This is not shown on the primary monitor.
I have attached two files to demonstrate the issue.
Can anyone tell me how to get rid of the status bar. I have already tried using the Overflow-X = 'hidden' properties as well as the obvious StatusBoxVisible = false.
Thanks in advanced,
Gary...
Hi Gary,
After I investigated the element regarding your issue, I found something that caused the status bar in second monitor. Actually, it is not a status bar, but it is a scrollbar. When inspect the element, the style was overflow-x:scroll.I tried to override this element but unfortunately, the default style could not be overriden. Therefore, the style only appears if you used ComboMode=MultipleColumns. In your sample, this mode is useless. So, if you threw it away, the scrollbar will not show. Hope this helps.
Regards,Handy
I was unable to repro the issue on my end using latest build version of WebCombo.
Does the issue replicable using our reference sample? If it does, could you please let me know the file name and the steps to reproduce the issue? If it doesn’t, could you please kindly provide a simple sample that replicates the issue to be investigated further?
Hope this help.
I have tried to repro this on your live demo but can't as it appears not to have the ResultBoxWindowType="Normal" property set.
I have therefore attached a sample solution that demonstrates the issue.
Cheers,
I tested your project but it worked fine in here. If there is something i am missing?
Can you confirm that you are trying this on a dual monitor system and that the appearance of the drop-down result box is identical on both monitors?
If so, i can only assume that this is caused by certain graphics cards/drivers. Is this a possibility?
Can you also please confirm your environment so i can replicate here. I am using Windows XP, IE7, ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro graphics card.
Thanks,
Hi,
Yes, works fine in both monitors. I don't think if graphics card can cause the issue. I tested on Windows Vista, IE8, ATI Radeon HD 3650. I would like to test in IE7 for now. Thank you for the detail.
I have also tested now on Windows 7 with IE8 and the problem still persists. On closer inspection it appears that the horizonal scroll bar is being displayed not the status bar as i first thought, however, the screen shots attached to the first post demonstrate the problem i'm facing.
I can replicate it now in here. I will forward this to our developer teams. Thanks for the help.
That's good news. Do you know why it couldn't be replicated at your end to start with? Is there something i could do here as a temporary workaround?
Hello Gary,
I am afraid, there is no any for now. It could not be replicated at the first because I am using RemoteDesktop into the server which has your project. When I am running directly locally, i can see the issue.
