Hello,
When I add a UXBusyIndicator to my Silverlight project, the BusyContent in the Properties tab is grayed out. I have to go to Xmal to add the code BusyContent="Processing...". After I do that the Properties tab is not available for me to change it...
Bug?
thanks
Andre
Hello Andre,
Ok, I just used the latest version of ClientUI which is the same as yours (4.0.5000.3). I still couldn't replicate your issue on my end.
I have attached a video to show you how the BusyContent property works in ClientUI 4.0.5000.3.
I'm not really clear with your next inquiry. Could you explain what do you want to achieve by having an icon property?
We provide a content template in UXBusyIndicator control to let user freely customize the style of the control. With the template, you can change the control's object or add another control or simply change the style according to your needs.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
The issue does not happen on my end.
What build version are you currently using for ClientUI? I'm using 4.0.5000.2.
Attached is the sample file for your reference.
Hi I have the updated version r2 refresh and I have updated all my controls. Per what I see i'm using 4.0.500.3 NOT 4.0.5000.2.
I have attached a little video.
While i'm talking about UXbusy ind... how about letting me choose the Icon without having to dig into the template?
I would love to see a Icon property, I'm not too big on the default icon and I am not ready to dig into the templete to figure out where I need to change it.

hmm, might be a Blend issue. If it matters I started my application out using one of your templates.. That is Ok, since I can still do work in the xmal it's not a big deal.
My suggestion for the Icon was, the Busy Indicator Icon is a round circle, I suggested making that Icon a property so you could change it without having to edit the template, I would assume this would be a very common thing for someone to change but that isn't a big deal either.
Hi Andre,
Did you refer the 'progress round circle' as the busy indicator's icon?
It's actually not a static icon, but a specially-designed XAML animation that creates the effect of rotating, Apple-style progress indicator.
I'm not sure if a static icon would be good enough to indicate a 'busy progress'. We'd love to hear your thought about this.
And I thought you should have figured out that customizing the busy indicator is pretty straightforward, that is through the BusyIndicatorTemplate.
Hope this helps,Jimmy
Hi yes thank you, I will edit the Template when I'm ready to change the Apple-Style indicator, I don't like apple :)
