Developers can easily apply their past saved layout which is retrieved from the *.isl file.

Here are step by step procedures:

1. We are trying to apply our custom layout into the grid.
   
   
   
   
2. In the Visual Studio .NET IDE, right-click an instance of WebGrid and choose WebGrid.NET Designer. Pay attention to the 5 sections at the top : "Quick Start", "Advanced", "Layout Manager", "Structure Manager" and "Localization Manager". When Layout Manager section is clicked, developers will be presented with below snapshot:
   
   
   
   
3. Click the 'Add (+)' button in order to add developers' custom layout into the Layout Manager. In this sample, we're retrieving 'Layout.isl' into the Layout Manager. When it is successful, the 'Layout.isl' should be listed in the 'Custom Layout' part in the left pane.
   
   
   
   
4. Double-click the 'Layout.isl' in the left pane and the right pane will show the preview of the intended layout.
   
   
   
   
5. Click the 'Apply' button to apply the current layout.
