WebDragDropExtender does not only bring a whole new possibility to create richer Web application through versatile drag-drop architecture, it also delivers the new Vista™ drag-drop tooltip behaviors and styles.
The new Vista™ tooltip has the following behaviors:
- When you hover on a valid target object, the effect cursor (eg, Move) should appear immediately to give a real-time visual feedback to end user.
- When you hold on the mouse button and stay on the same position for at least 500 milliseconds, the tooltip text should appear including the rectangular frame.
- The rectangular frame should be positioned and has auto-size capability to cover the effect cursor and the text.
- The visual cursor effect should stay in the same position/location as it is originally shown when the rectangular frame and the tooltip text are displayed.
The following image illustrates the Vista™ style tooltip in WebDragDropExtender control.
