UXQueryBuilder is designed to be able to handle both server and client side operations. The server side operation takes advantage of QueryDescriptor class while the client side operation takes advantage of the PagedCollectionView. FilterDescriptors is usually bound to QueryDescriptor.FilterDescriptors.
