WebGrid provides a way to change the label orientation mode for X Axis, Y Axis and Z Axis.

There are 7 types of Label orientation mode (SingleLevel, Stagger2, Stagger3, Rotate30, Rotate45, Rotate90 and AutoScale). Except SingleLevel mode, all the styles will be applied if the number of data point is quite large.

In SingleLevel mode , the chart engine has the capability to determine the size and the stagger level. If you prefer to have only one line at all cost, try the AutoScale mode. The default mode of Label orientation is SingleLevel.

In this topic, you will learn how to change the Label orientation mode.

To change the label orientation mode

  1. Open WebGrid.NET Designer.
  2. Go to Pivot Charting Tab.
  3. Select Axis >> Y Axis.
  4. Set the Label orientation to AutoScale.
  5. Click OK to apply the changes.
  6. Run the project.
