What we are seeing is that if you edit an existing text string, in an edittable IFrame, inserted misspelled words are not found. Here is an example.
The user goes to the UI and creates a note, as follows, and then saves it away.
"This sentence has no misspelled words in it"
The user then, at some point in the future, returns to that UI and needs to edit the note. They insert a word, as follows:
"This sentence realy has no misspelled words in it"
The user then spell checks that and the misspelled word, "realy", is NOT identified as being misspelled. They know this because the word is not underlined with the red wave.
We see this with both version 1.0.10000.11 and 1.0.1000.12 of ISNet.WebUI.WebTextEditor.dll.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there an attribute of the spell checker that could be used to address this, or is it a bug? Thanks,
Mike
Hello Mike,
Would you mind to show use with recording video? I also use build 1.0.1000.12 but it works fine in our sample.
Regards,Handy
Thank you for your recording video. However, please do not reply into our notification service. Please reply into community thread instead of replying into the notification service.Unfortunately, I could not replicate your issue in here. Please see my recording video. I also used Iframe content. The sample works fine. So, would you mind to send us a simple runable sample that replicates this issue?
As always, this is part of a larger application so I will have to try to build an example outside of our application that exhibits this behavior.
Thanks,
I am sorry for troubling you. But we need this sample to investigate your issue. You can also let me know your WebSpellChecker settings or configurations.
I understand. I should have something for you tomorrow. I have created a small application today that can reproduce it but have a few things left to do. I find that it fails about 90% of the time to find the misspelled word when its inserted and I am trying to figure out what makes it work that other 10% of the time.
Ok, thank your for your coorperation. I will wait for the sampe. Maybe it fails because the control is still loading the resources.
Attached is a zip file of a project I created from one of our pages that has this issue. Lots of stuff commented out as you can see, but you should be able to see the issue.
Regards,
Michael
Hello Michael,
Thank you for your sample. However, the sample works fine in here. I checked that you were not using the latest hotfixes for WebUIFramework. Fyi, When you update the hotfixes for a product, please ensure that you also update the WebUIFramework. Please let me know if this issue still persits or not after you update the WebUIFramework.
That's my mistake then. I downloaded the hotfix WebTextEditorNET1_0_1000_12.zip and only used the Text Editor assemblies as those were the only assemblies in the ZIP file. I'll update the WebUIFramework Assembly and see if that addresses the issue. What version is current?
Hi,
It should be .757 build version. You can try to download the hotfixes from this thread.
