Our webscheduler application stopped working all of a sudden. Now after a user inserts an event the following javascript error appears:
Message: 'Parent' is null or not an objectLine: 7Char: 45566Code: 0URI: http://secure.consultcelerity.com/Oliver/SFMGPScheduler_Test/ISRes.axd?S/WebScheduler_Data.js/3010003
The error appears in this line of coded (the bolded section):
{ var vcd210 =vf6087[vce060]; var v93064 =new ISArray(); var v28662 =vcd210.Parent;
The strange thing is we haven't changed anything at and this error only occurs when scheduling events for this week (not for events in the future or in the past). Also, it seems that this week's timeframe doesn't not render correctly in the calendar (i.e. the time highligted is saturday to friday, instead of Sunday to Saturday). I think this may have something to do with day lights savings, since that is really the only thing that has changed since it worked.
We have recently released our official regular hotfix which includes the fix for this issue (WebScheduler 3.0.7200.4). Please find detail information in the official press release.
You could also read which fix or enhancement included in the latest build by visiting the support page and clicking the control name located on the right-pane “Latest Builds”.
Please use “Intersoft Update Manager 3.0” application in order to obtain latest updates for every licensed copy of Intersoft’s component with one single click and install it automatically for you. Please make sure you are connected to the Internet before scanning for updates. If you are behind firewall, please specify your proxy information by clicking Settings link in the left bar.
I applied the hotfix as instructed and have encountered the following javascript error when the scheduler was loading:
Is the hotfix fully tested? Why am I getting this error?
The hotfix have been fully tested.
The error message appears because the ‘Date Modified’ property of the hotfix files is greater than the current date of your system. Please re-test the latest hotfix file in the next couple of hour and let us know if the error still persists.
I'm sorry but I'm very confused. I spent several hours this morning trying to get the "hotfix" to work and it did not work. Now you are telling me it was fully tested and I should just "try again" with the same code? I'm confused. The last message was download the hotfix, now I did that and you are telling me I did that too soon?
Please explain. I'm sorry if I sound frustrated, but I have had so many problems with this product. Please help me this is in a production environment with a very high end client.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience.
We live in different time zone. Our time zone is UTC +7 (GMT +7). The hotfix file was built on a server that uses date and time set to UTC +7 as well. After the build process finish, the hotfix file will have date/time property (Date Modified; Date Created; etc) based on our time zone.
If you live in a country that have different time zone, for example UTC -5, you will have the error “v47d81 = IS.GetCssObject(null, v23214).cssText” since the hotfix file date/time property has greater value than current date/time in your time zone.
For example, suppose that the hotfix is created in UTC +7 and the current “Date Modified” file property is Thursday, March 18, 2010 10:00 AM (in UTC +7 timezone). If you download the hotfix file in the next one hour, it will be Wednesday, March 17, 2010 11:00 PM (in UTC -5 timezone). This time difference will lead to the “IS.GetCssObject(null, v23214)” error.
Once again, I’m sorry for the inconvenience. Please retry and let us know if the issue still persists.
