Is the WebInput 4.0 unable to use the XHTML DocType? When I use this DocType I get the error "body.scrollLeft is null or not an object. You can see this by using the 2011 R2 VB Samples for PhoneNumber and change the DocType to XHTML.
Hello John,
WebInput fully support XHTML DocType. However, there might be a regression bug in the current WebInput.
I've just reported this issue to the developer team for further investigation. I will let you know when the issue has been fixed.
Thank you for your report and have a nice day.
Regards,Martin
We are facing the same problem. Any news or workarounds on this (other than changing doctype - which is not an option for us)? It is getting critical.
Can easily be reproduced by creating an empty Intersoft Webui web application and adding a webinput (VS2010, latest intersoft components).
I am surprised that this subject hasn't been a hotter topic!
I have re-tested PhoneNumber.aspx sample file and WebInput which is added on an empty Intersoft WebUI web application and found that the reported problem has been addressed in Intersoft WebUI Studio 2011 R2 SP1.
Please download the setup file of the Intersoft WebUI Studio 2011 R2 SP1 from http://www.intersoftpt.com/RequestTrial. For existing Intersoft Solutions’s customer, the setup file is also ready to be downloaded from Trial tab of My Components section in the Intersoft Developer Network account, http://dev2.intersoftpt.com/.
Should the issue still reproducible after using the Intersoft WebUI Studio 2011 R2 SP1, please kindly let us know.
Glad to hear that the exception is no longer persist in Intersoft WebUI Studio 2011 R2 SP1.
The release of Intersoft WebUI Studio 2011 R2 SP1 which includes the fix for this issue was announced in our January 2012 newsletter edition. For more detail information, please kindly check the newsletter in here.
