Unfortunately, you can't use multiple editor control in one column. Currently WebGrid only support one editor for one column.

Actually to add new row, you don't have to tabbing until the last column. You can simply press SHIFT+ENTER instead, as this key also occur to be the shortcut key of PerformAdd in context menu.

Hi,

What i mean is that every row would have only 1 editor but the column would be same.

e.g. I have a Column as "Value", now based on value from database i show a Combo on 1 row, then calendar combo on 2nd row same column, then textbox on 3rd row same column.

This is very common senario. I don't think this won't be possible in Web Grid. How can i achive this??

I'm sorry but currently there is no properties that fit into your scenario. WebGrid is not support to applied one kind of editor for different row within the same column.

But if you really need this feature, please request it as feature request in your TDN account. Our development team will check the possibility of this feature to be implemented.

This is very important feature and will give a lot of value to your control.

I have seen this feature in almost all controls i have used. Was almost shocked when heard a no from your side.

I am apologize for the delay answer, because I have to discuss about the possibility of this feature first. Thank you for your valuable feedback regarding our controls, but, I'm afraid that this feature could not be implemented since our development team are busy with their tight deadline schedule for our next release.

WebGrid have the ability to perform several kinds of Editor for each row in one column. However, currently there is no way for scenario that using different DataType between the column and the editor. For example, if the column's DataType is String, then the editor that you could use are TextBox, MultilineTextbox. Meanwhile, it is not possible to use eg checkbox (Boolean) or Calendar (Datetime) for the editor (please also notes that some editor need to be rendered from the first initialize, eg by put it as default editor). For more detail about this, please kindly check for the attachment of simple sample.

Hi Huzefa,

We are estimated that the next product will be released by the end of this month. If your product still in subscription periods, you can get all of them. However if it's not, I am sorry that you will need to buy new subscription to get the new features. But of course you can always get any hotfix for your existing product.
