Hi,
I am using Intersoft WebUI 2008 R2 SP2 Edition, and I migrated the Web application from .Net 2.0 to .Net 3.5 today. After migration, I started getting this JS error on all Webgrids on all web pages.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance.
Veenu Munjal
Hi Veenu,
Have you update our latest hotfix? If yes, your project might still be using the old references. You can remove the WebGrid’s references on your project, and then re-add it manually, or by drag and drop a new WebGrid from toolbox to get the new references. Please let me know if this method can solve your problem or not.
Regards,
Julia
Hi Julia,
Thanks for your reply.
I copied all the required ISNet.* DLLs from the Intersoft WebUI 2008 R2 SP2 Installation and placed them in a folder in my project. Then I uninstalled the Intersoft Package so that no reference is taken from GAC for any Intersoft DLL. Then I deleted and added all ISNet references from this foolder to the Web Project again.
And after recompilation and execution, it is the same issue.
I'd like to add that after upgradation to .Net 3.5, I started getting " 'IS_ReleaseType' is undefined" JS error on WebCombo. So issue is not only on WebGrid (Image attached too).
May be this helps you pointing out where could be the issue, that WebUI components in the whole application have become problematic all of a sudden. :(
Thanks again for your effort.
Best Regards,
Your welcome Veenu J
I assume that you now on the deployment process. The issue could occurred because you didn’t use the latest build for framework. Have you update our latest framework? Please make sure that your framework using the latest version (You can update it using Update Manager). If the problem persist, could you send me list of your project’s bin folder and web.config? so I can investigate it further.
I tried to replace all DLLs of the 2008 R2 with WebUI 2009 R1 and add reference again and recompile.
After running the application, I started getting message that it was a trial version and has expired. So no WebUI Control was being displayed. I reverted to my 2008 R2 DLLs, and the trial error message is gone and I got my usual errors which I reported in this issue.
So, I am stuck! Has it something to do with runtime keys in my web.config and I need to take the latest keys for 2009 version and try?
Please give me a direction to move to
Thanks and Regards,
I think you are misunderstanding about my last suggestion.
1. When you changed your assemblies into 2009R1 and you got trial/expired.
Do you have license key for 2009R1? If you have not, this error will occur since the license key is different with 2008R2.
2. When you still got the same errors when back to 2008R2.
Based on my previous suggestion, have you tried to used the latest HotFix (of WebGrid and WebUIFramework)?
You can update our latest hotfix by using UpdateManager. If this could not resolve your issue, could you please send me a simple project (runable) include the current assemblies you’re using that replicate this issue. I need that to investigate your issue.
Note: please ensure you removed all of the license things in your web.config before sending me your project
I've attached the DLLs from 2008R2 and 2009R1.
I don't have the Development Environment installed, so I can't use the License Key Manager or the Update Manager. Please let me know if there is a version issue.
I've attached the web.config - may be you can point out if I am missing some keys here.
Regarding the Hotfixes, there are lots of them for 2008 version. Which one is needed.
Thanks and Best Regards,
Here I attached our latest hotfix. You can visit http://www.intersoftpt.com/Build/ApplyHotfix for how to update the hotfix manually. I also attached my simple sample that I create based on your environment. If the problem still occurred after you update the hotfix, I need to investigate the issue using remote desktop. You can send the credential information to technical@intersoftpt.com and when will be the best time to remote your PC. I will be available from Monday – Friday 8AM – 5PM GMT+7.
I downloaded the latest hotfixes from the Developer Network for both 2008 and 2009 versions of WebGrid.
One question - does the latest hotfix contains all previous hotfixes also or do i need to download all of them?
Anyways, I reverted to 2008 version of DLL reference and place hotfix and compiled. And then accessed the application. Bravo! Grid looks like original - no issues. So I don't want 2009 as of now :D
But, the moment I did any action on WebGrid - even a data refresh, I got this. The same error on every Webgrid used in application:
The website declined to show this webpage HTTP 403 - Most likely causes: This website requires you to log in. What you can try: - Go back to the previous page. More information
This error (HTTP 403 Forbidden) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but it does not have permission to view the webpage.
For more information about HTTP errors, see Help.

Can you please help me identify the issue with the hotfix? I've already created a new ticket also for similar error (HTTP 403: The website declined to show this webpage), as this has been reported on our production system (without any hotfix) only when accessed with IE7 from Load Balancer Cloud. Thanks and Regards,Veenu Munjal
Can you repost your last post? Your last posting contains invalid html markup so we need to remove it. Thanks,
It is Done.
Thanks for removing the old content and keeping the thread alive. Please check again.
It was strange to get this suddenly after placing the hotfix.
But I located that in my case, we're also using Telerik Library and this error has been reported with Telerik handlers. So I think this is not actually an Intersoft issue anymore.
I haven't located a fix yet with them but you needn't dig into it anymore for now. In case it persists with Telerik removed, I'll get back to you.
Sorry to bother you ...Thanks a lot for all your support, effort and time so far.
Glad to hear that you found the source of the problem
