I have a simple sliding menu that works perfectly find in design mode, but doesn't deploy correctly. It's the last non-working piece of my first WEBUI deployment, so it's driving me crazy.
When in development mode, the menu works perfectly. When in deploy, neither the images nor the text on the menus work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Beryl
p.s. This is my first post here. I tried to attached my aspx and aspx.cs files, but it wouldn't let me (it only wanted image files). Is there a trick I need to know?
Hello,
Have you followed the deployment checklist available in our documentation? Please ensure that you don't install any of Intersoft products in your deployment server.
Could you create a simple working sample that replicates this issue and attach the file in this post?
Attaching .aspx and .cs file is prohibited. Therefore, you are required to zip your files and attach the zip file afterwards.
Hope this helps. Thank you.
I think I've followed the checklist correctly. Every other control is working fine (Web Aqua, Web Grid, Web Tree, etc.). The sliding menu kind of shows up in deploy, but without the images or text. However, in development it looks great.
I used one of the samples that came with WEBUI as a basis for this. I've also tried other methods (e.g., creating all the items in server side code) but I get the same problem with all of them.
I simplified as much as possible (we're down to 2 menu items and the contenttemplate is fairly straightforward). I hope you can help!
I have tested the sample file you have provided. It works fine on my end when I deploy the project. Everything displays correctly including the images.
Could you provide me your web.config file? Probably the issue comes from the configuration settings in your web.config file.
Thank you.
Here's the web config. Thank you for your help!
Hello Beryl,
I have checked your web.config file. I didn't find any unusual settings in the web.config.
However, I will send you my complete project including web.config using your runtime license key and the aspx file sent by you previously.
Please try to run and deploy the project and see whether the images are rendered properly.
The attached sample will be sent directly to your email, since web.config contains confidential information that is prohibited to be shared in public. Your attached web.config has also been removed from this thread.
Should you still experience the error, I would like to request for a remote desktop connection into your PC in order to investigate the issue.
Regards,-Martin-
