I have a form with a webtoolbar control.
I programmatically load commands onto the toolbar.
When I first go to that menu it will appear correctly but after the page does a postback the menu appears lower on the page and will not go back to the top like it had done originally.
I am using Studio.Net 2009 SP1
I am supplying screen shots of this problem.
This first shot is of the menu displaying correctly.
The second shot is the menu displaying incorrectly after the page does a postback.
Attached is the sample I used to recreate the issue. In my sample, the issue could not be reproduced. I'm using WebToolbar, WebGrid, and an ASP.Net button to trigger the postback.
Do you mind modifying the sample to replcate the issue? or perhaps provide a more detail HTML structure / control you are using in your page so we could replicate the issue.
Glenn,
Thank you for your prompt response.
I downloaded your sample and it displayed the same problem that my project is exhibiting.
This makes me think that it is something to do with my version of Studio.Net 2009.
I recently upgraded from Studio.Net 2008 R2SP1.
I did publish my project to our webserver and had the same results.
I did perform an IISReset on my machine but that did not solve the problem.
First of all, please make sure you are already using all the latest build in your project. In your case, this will be WebDesktop 3 build 305, WebGrid 7 build 306, and WebUIFramework 3 build 705.
We also suggest clearing your temporary ASP.NET folder, default location C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files, and browser cache to remove any reference to previous component build if you just recently upgrade your component.
I have cleaned out the Temporary ASP.NET files and I do have the latest builds.
I ran the update manager and there was nothing to update.
You could confirm the build of the component in your project bin folder, by opening the properties window of each dll, under the details tab.
About the occurence of the issue in the sample I send on your environment, did you use a new project to run the sample? If you are not running it on a new project, do you mind sending a sample project that will replicate the issue, or your project web.config.
I did confirm their versions by clicking on their properties in my Bin folder.
I also created a brand new web project and ran the sample you had posted.
It still gave me the same problem.
After more testing I could replicate the issue in my environment. However, the postback is not necessary in my environment.
You could replicate the issue in the provided sample by:
Thank you for the update.
Please let me know if there is a work-around to this bug.
Best regards,
Mark
The fix will be included in the hotfix which will be release in a few weeks at the latest.
Based on the analysis of the developer, you will need to set the MenuWindowType to normal under WebToolBar -> MenuStyleSettings in order for the fix to work.
I changed the setting and the menu offsets correctly but now the strip is transparent.
I am attaching a screenshot of the problem.
As I Mentioned earlier, the fix will require the next hotfix which is currently has not been released. The hotfix will be released very soon.
Feel free to send us a running sample if you think this is a new issue.
We have recently released WebUI Studio 2009 R2 Service Pack 1 which includes the fix for this issue. Please click here to read the official press release.
You could also read which fix or enchancement included in the latest build by visiting the support page and clicking the control name located on the Right Pane "Latest Builds".
