Ensure that you have copied the resources assemblies to your project's bin folder.
Ensure that the property of Intersoft assembly 'Copy Local' is set to True.
(optional) Modify web.config file to be able to run WebGrid in IIS7 (or newer) environment by adding handlers into the system.webServer tag. For more detail, please check this tutorial: Configure Intersoft Products to Run in IIS7 Environment.
Fix/replace application setting key/value pair in the <appSettings> element in web.config file. For example: from <add key="ISNet.WebUI.WebGrid.v7_0_7200.RunTimeLicenseKey" value="RUNTI-MELI-CENSE" /> to <add key="ISNet.WebUI.WebGrid.v9_0_7200.RunTimeLicenseKey" value="RUNTI-MELI-CENSE" />

Webcombo Responsive Design

One css trick that useful for responsive design is to have a fluid width container and put the content's width to be 100% (fill its container). We can specify WebCombo's width to be 100%. Adding WebCombo into fluid container such as div can be implemented in your responsive design web-app.

Webcombo Design Change

I wanted to do some design changes to the combo - the downarrow of dropdown should be changed to a "Search icon" image.

WebCombo provides comprehensive look & feel customization settings which allows you to customize most of the UI elements in the WebCombo control. You can change the styles directly by using either the provided style properties or control the WebCombo's appearance globally by specifying the CSS class name.

For example: following style is applied to WebCombo's DropDown Arrow

But when trying to do this I am getting an error saying, "Design time license is not found. You should not use Webcombo.Net in design-time environment. Please refer to license agreement".

This problem happen because of incorrect license keys. Please do the following to resolve this problem:

Remove your license key from the License Manager.
Re-input your license key. Please double check this time that there are no extra blank spaces and that all cases are correct.

Javascript Error in executing Web application with Intersoft controls

The WebApp was developed 10 years ago, around 2005, might be using WebGrid 3.5 or earlier. Could you please let us know the original WebGrid version and enclose the copy of web.config file as attachment.

There are things that needs to be done when upgrading your existing WebApp to use the latest version of WebGrid. For more detail, please check "Upgrading" section in WebGrid documentation (the live version is in here).

Excel Export Displys Error page: HTTP Error 404.0 - Not found

I have tried using JavaScript to close the browser window with no luck.

I have forwarded this to WebGrid development team as feature improvement. The report is filed under ASPNET-182.

I'll keep you updated with any news I heard from the team regarding ASPNET-182.
