I tried to replicate the reported problem by:

 • Viewing a page with calendar column in WebGrid 9.
 • The page viewed in Chrome 49.0 browser.
 • The slow network connectivity is emulated using Network Conditioning feature of Google Chrome.
 • Network throttling is set to GPRS: download 50 kb/s, upload 20 kb/s, and latency 500ms

The result is: I was unable to reproduce the reported problem in my local end.

Kindly check the screenshot below and let me know if you find anything that I might miss during my attempt in order to reproduce the problem.

Thank you for the feedback, to improve the visual indicator for list items.

CROS-1105 has been submitted to Crosslight development team regarding this. I will keep you informed with any news I heard from the team related to this feature request.

... a more appealing look like yahoo mail's inbox would be an example of a very good visual indicator where new items on the inbox has a bold text and a small circular image beside it as an indicator.

This can be achieved by using converter to control the OpacityProperty of ImageView. You might want to refer to Converter sample in basic-mvvm sample.

Thanks again! We look forward to serving you for many years to come.

Reason: Update post

... Update: I received a push notification on the next day. What is the latency time for message delivery at your end?

The latency time for message delivery is depend on Google timing and schedule.

There are topics that discuss on how to avoid delay in Android GCM messages like: "keeping the connection alive with a ping every interval of time from the GCM server". Hope this helps.

Hello Thomas,

We don't have the device. It is difficult for us to perform debugging on the reported problem.

Reason: Update latest progress

On April 4, 2016, a signed APK of MaterialSamples has been sent to @Thomas Albert (directly to his registered email account) to be tested on Samsung GT-S7580.

After install the APK, there is no crash when start the app and can navigate around the sample without crashing.

It turns out that the project, MaterialSamples, doesn't cause the problem (since the signed APK doesn't crash on Samsung GT-S7580 (running API 17) device).

The reported problem occured when starting the app out of VS or Xamarin Studio while debugging.

Crosslight development team has managed to resolve this issue.

Per my test, the reported problem is no longer persist now. Please update the NuGet package in order to apply the latest hotfix (Crosslight 5.0.5000.579) and feel free to let me know if you have different result.

I like the NuGet way the get updates and fixes really quick, but make sure that the quality of the product is still high. Fixing a bug fast and producing a new one with the bug fix is not the way it should be.

Thank you very much for the feedback.

We will try our best to maintain the quality of released hotfix.

Almost every day there is a new Crosslight version available at NuGet. What are the changes and what is fixed in each version? Is there any source I can check this out?

The team will provide a way so that the information related to changes and fixes can be delivered easily. Once again, thank you for the valuable feedback.

... What is the corresponding item name I can override in a theme for the group_header_background.

Like:

Hope this helps.

... I have expected that I exit the edit mode after deleting the selected list items. But this is not the case...

ExitEditModeOnDelete property will gets or sets a value indicating whether the edit mode should be ended when delete command succeed.

After deleting a list item, it is expected to exit edit mode. This has been reported to Crosslight development team under CROS-1061.

... But when I do a pull to refresh in the expenses list now, the update circle still appears and it never disappears again....

EnableRefresh property will gets or sets a value indicating whether refresh is enabled.

Set EnableRefresh to false should disable pull-to-refresh. CROS-1062 has been reported to Crosslight development team regarding this problem.

I will keep you informed with any news I heard from the team regarding CROS-1061 and CROS-1062.

1. Editors>Hyperlink: The Disabled hyperlink opens the browser. So it is not really disabled.

3. Editors>Navigation: Disabled navigates to the change password dialog, too. So it is not really disabled.

I will keep you informed with any news I heard from the team regarding CROS-1060.
