Hi Yudy!

We've tested, and now all works as expected! It took a bit of time, but you delivered 100%. Thanks!

Dear Intersoft

Are you serious. You have promised me to get back to me. I've been reminding you several times. You have a situation where regional settings don't work on Macs. Please get back to me ASAP.

!!

Hi Yudi? Did you find out anything here? I'm in kind of a squeeze...

Thanks,

Hi Yudi. I'm really very intersted in getting this package ASAP. Is there any ETC?

Thanks,
Tor

Allright, Yudi. That's immense. Do you have any expectations about when this will be?

Thanks,
Tor

Great, Yudi. I'm waiting eagerly. In August, our solution goes live to support a large project, so I really hope we'll be able to solve this one together!

Thanks,
Tor

Hi Yudi!

I did as you described above. I also set Safari to run in unsafe mode on all web sites. Also, I tried restarting Safari. But the results are as before - live.clientui.com refuses to run, whereas apps without ClientUI works.

I changed the settings back.

Then.. today.. I actually was able to isolate the issue to a much larger degree. It occurred to me that all company Macs have regional settings "Norwegian". I tried changing to USA and English. And suddenly all ClientUI pages worked!

Now, could you please try to adjust the regional settings on your mac to reproduce the issue:

  • Go to: Apple-->System Preferences-->Language & Region
  • On left side, add language "Norsk bokmål" and set it as the preferred language
  • On right side, set Region: Norway (this will ensure first day of week Monday and Calendar gregorian)
  • On right side, set List sort order: Norwegian Bokmål (if available, probably not important)
  • Close the windows. Accept to restart the computer.
  • Try to run live.clientui.com. Does this reproduce?
Thx
Tor

Hi Yudi, thx for extensive reply!

This is a really challenging issue:

  • As, you, I can run live.clientui.com on other macs than those of my client company. So there must be something with those computers.
  • Note that, at the same time, I am able to run all non-ClientUI silverlight applications on these computers. So the problem is not in the Silverlight settings of the computers.
  • Also, the browsers seems not to be a problem. I've tried several versions of FF and Safari, incl. those mentioned by you. So i rather think that the problem happens on a different level: HW or OS.
  • HW should not be a problem. These are Macbook Air with Intel i5 and 8 GB of memory.
  • Internet settings and network should not be a problem. These computers are used exactly as they came from the factory, with absolutely no settings defined by the IT department. No security or anything. I have tried various networks (such as logging onto internet via my private cell phone) but still without being able to run live.clientui.com on these macs.
  • The OS is Yosemite (10.10.3).

Do you happen to have access to a mac with Yosemite OS on it, so you can test if ClientUI works as expected?

Except for this hunch, I have no ideas about what could cause this. Do you think that you would be able to narrow the problem down by testing one of these macs in web meeting?

Thx
Tor
