Hi Eric,

Could you re-attach the source code in .txt file?

Thanks.

George, thanks for your request, we've noted it.

As additional information, the "ribbon" like bar in our Support System actually used WebDesktop component such as WebButton and added javascript for the scroller.

Anyway, we will try our best to provide the ready-to-use component in the near future. Thanks!

The Update Manager that shipped in original 2009 installer has an issue, which is addressed here.

The service pack doesn't install as hotfix, you need to re-download the installer as instructed in the link mentioned above and install it.

The difference between hotfix and service pack is, service pack often includes many enhancements and significant stability improvement, as well as updates to samples and documentation, while hotfix is usually provided to address reported issues.

In addition, service pack passed our comprehensive triple QA staging, while hotfix doesn't.

Let me know if you have other questions regarding the service pack.

Holger, have you installed the recently released service pack? If not, check out the press release here.

George, thanks for your feedback. We'll include this as a requirement in the updated WebGrid documentation, along with a new walkthrough to address this scenario.

PS: Please "mark as answer" on the correct reply to enable other users to easily recognize your threads as resolved/answered. Thank you.

Hello Yousif,

Thanks for your feedback. We've been able to reproduce the issues.

Both of the issues will be addressed in the next forum update scheduled today, and the fixes for WebTextEditor will also be included in the upcoming service pack 1.

Michael, we already have dozens of new stuff coming in R2 which you can read in our updated roadmap. We'll try our best to include this new drag-drop capability in R2, however we'll still prioritize the features mentioned in the roadmap.

In the case that we don't manage to include the drag-drop capability in R2, then it'll be surely included in 2010 R1.

Hi Michael,

AFAIK, WebGrid isn't supported to be used as "native drop control" in WebDragDropExtender yet. Although it can be specified as drop control in general, WebDragDropExtender will recognize it only as a "big box" and thus doesn't give more specific details over the target object.

However, since WebGrid 7 now supports client binding and batch update, we're planning to support WebGrid as native drop control in the near future; and adds several dozens of new possibilities, such as drag-drop within Grid itself, drag-drop across Grid, drag-drop across parent-child tables, and much more.

Hi,

We have documentation regarding the best settings for you. You can open our WebGrid's documentation and bowse the following link in the documentation: ms-help://ISNet.WebUI.WebGrid.V7/ISNet.WebUI.WebGrid/Improve performance using designer.html.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards,

Gordon Tumewu

Hello Scott,

The Client Binding in v7 is strongly focused on flat table with support on all existing databound features such as sorting, grouping, filtering, and so on -- as well as data service support in native JSON format.

As Glenn pointed out, the hierarchical tables are unsupported in this version. We'll support hierarchical tables and more features in the next version.

Let me know if you have other questions, or feedback. Thanks!
