Thanks for your feedback.
A quick question, do you commonly display a busy indicator over the existing screen (i.e, imagine classic ajax-indicator in center screen), or the busy indicator can replace an inline UI element? In the latter case, the common scenario is to hide a certain elements when busy, and show them back when idle.
Let us know your so that we can design it to cover most scenarios. Again, thank you for your feedback.
Yiannis, all ClientUI controls will ship with Windows 7 Aero (which is fully compatible with Windows UX Guide) as its built-in theme.
We'll ship several more predefined themes in the RTM in the form as style assets, most possibly some various Apple-theme user interface.
If you've certain themes that you would like to see in RTM, please let us know.
Thanks!
Hello, thank you for joining ClientUI forum.
Most controls that aren't available yet in Silverlight are named without UX. These controls are basically serve as their basic purpose, another examples are WrapPanel, GlassButton, etc.
The controls with prefix UX commonly have higher standards in their features, most of them already include built-in UX features. For instances, UXGridPanel, UXToolBar, UXListBox, and more -- support visual drag-drop and numerous interactivity features.
Let me know if you have other questions.
Regards,Support.
Several of ClientUI's components already have built-in busy state management. For instance, you can easily bind UXPage.IsBusy to your view model. Read more from our blog post here. This enables the entire page to be blocked instead of manually displaying certain busy indicator. Our goal is to streamline the SL development with better pattern that works reliably and consistently.
However, if you have certain cases where busy indicator is required, could you please elaborate more on your scenarios?
We'll consider to include a busy indicator in RTM if it's useful.
Bob,
Thank you for your sharing your information. I have forwarded your feedback to our development team, it will be included in the RTM version of our templates and samples.
One thing that I noted is that you used RaisePropertyChanged name instead of OnPropertyChanged. Althought just a minor naming issue, we suggest that OnPropertyChanged is used instead of RaisePropertyChanged since it's more consistent with WPF-style MVVM guidelines.
Let me know if you have any thoughts or other questions on ClientUI.
For existing customers, you can also quickly download and install the new updates from Update Manager. This is suitable if your application simply needs the fixes included in the updates. However, if you want to try the new samples shipped in this service pack release, full download is the way to go.
Enjoy,Support Team.
Hi Jan,
Here's the promised update. To avoid confusion with previous version, the application is now renamed to ISNet.Silverlight.v4.Licensing.exe.
Let me know if everything works fine in your end.
Hope this helps.
We're still waiting the update from our obfuscator vendor. We hope to receive an update by today, or tomorrow at the latest.
We will keep you informed. Thank you.
We've successfully resolve the problem and support licensing for Silverlight 4 application. However, we're still waiting for the resolution to an issue from our obfuscator vendor, which we require to perform according to our release policy.
Once we got the update from the vendor later today, we'll publish the updated application in this post immediately.
Thanks for your patience.
