If you're using Xamarin Studio and you're going to use a Portable Class Library, I suggest you use "PCL 4.0 - Profile158" to build your PCL projects with Crosslight SDKs.

On Xamarin Studio, right click the PCL project that you created and click Options from the popup menu. A window should popup, which contains the options available for your PCL... on the left panel click on General menu under the Build section. Make the necessary adjustments and you should be good to go.

Hope that helps.

Hi,

We didn't seem to get a sample of this for Android. If you think about it... how is this implemented in a cross-platform manner when the NavigationTargetIdentifier used in the metadata is of iOS? Please advise.

Hi Leo,

It does seem to work on iPad, iPhone, Android Phone but NOT ON Android tablet with Nested Master/Detail view. When passing the data through NavigationParameter from DataListViewModelBase, the data being passed is being overwritten with the SelectedItem value once it reaches the Navigated event on the ListViewModelBase. This creates an issue because the parameter.Data contains something else rather than the actual data being passed.
Thanks Arief! You've been very helpful. The solution you provided does work. But, looking at those codes the logic is pretty much the same as our solution. I remember mentioning that we did the same approach with that of Nich's solution on iOS and not working on Android. Turns out the reason why the binding wasn't working is because the ID used on the layout was assigned to two components/controls namely the root and the child. That's just silly, I wonder why that didn't throw an error in the first place though. But it works now... thanks for your time and keep up the good work.

Kudos!

Hi Arief,

Sorry no news for a long time i tried creating the samples for you however i got weird error when linking the assemblies to the Signature Pad (non sources) and already tried to contact other developer, you can see mine in the attachment. Could i see yours maybe i can help you fix it?

We did the same approach as what was shown on the iOS sample provided by Nicholas, but we are not getting any errors on Android. We did register the binding adapter and all other settings required to make it work. However, we may be missing something because even with the use of Crosslight v4 doesn't seem to help.

Also just a news for you we will support Signature Pad but maybe not as a hotfix, however as next version but still version 4, as far as i know the development team already done but i will ask them if you interested.

But we are very interested in this update as a hotfix if possible. This is really an important piece of our app, especially on field services... which is widely used on the iOS version.

Hi All,

Can anyone help us regarding this issue? We tried the same approach with Android but the binding isn't working. Please advise.

Thanks!
Hello Arief,

Any progress on CROS-858 and CROS-859?
Guys,

When can we expect this to be available? Crosslight v4 has been released, but this functionality is still not working. I'm not sure how we can stress this enough, but this is really important.
Awesome! Thanks for the update. We'll see how it works. Just to confirm, any Insert, Delete, Update using ListViewModelBase<Sum> on SumListViewModel will be reflected on Save... right?

Thanks!

Hi,

We understand that the item templates have been implemented, but moving on to the subject... how and when can we expect Crosslight to be available as a Nuget package? So far, this is the easiest way of updating libraries, especially when there are available updates or nightly builds. Updating the binaries manually is just a pain.
