If the data has not been inserted to database, you would not be able to show the value. Please let us know about what code that you used in your sample. We need it to investigate your current issue. FYI, We also have a sample about how to add new row in database, AddItem.aspx. Regards,Handy

I am not sure if that is the issue. Can you show the status bar in WebGrid? I suspect that this is a resizing issue in WebGrid. I think the data has been loaded. That's why I need you to show me the WebGrid status bar. Will it show the loaded record numbers in there? Also, try to refresh the WebGrid.

This issue is scheduled to be our priority on monthly hotfix release. If there is no problem, you can get the fix this month.

As I said before, we could not just do it before we could just replicate it. So, once again, I hope you understand about this. I would personally once again ask our developer teams about this. But I could not promise anything. It would be better if you can also help us to replicate this issue. Is it easy to replicate this issue in a simple sample?
This fix has been quequed in our hotfix priority in this month. The release is scheduled approximately within 23April.

It does not matter. We also have InitializeChildDataSource for child rows. You can also finalize in there.
I attached my simple sample. It used dsNorthwind dataset from WebGrid sample. I think the checkbox might be slow at the first. But for the next, I think the performance still acceptable. If you found some steps to show the bad performance, please let me know.

Based on your error, it seems you were missing some resources files. Can I know what product that you used? Also, Did you use SmartWebResources in your project?
If yes, please ensure that ISNet.dll, ISNet.WebUI.dll, ISNet.WebUI.Resources.dll. 'IS is undefined' only occurs when there is no our framework assembly in your project bin folder. 'InitWebPaneManager' is null or undefined only occurs when there is no our WebDesktop assemblies in your project bin folder. Vice versa, if you don't use that, please ensure that your CommonLibrary path that used to load scripts and images are correct.
In my environment, the performance works fine by using your layout settings.How can you say it lagging? What is the time response?
