When you copy and paste the control definition, do you add the following code at the top of the page?
<%@ Register Assembly="ISNet.WebUI.WebDesktop" Namespace="ISNet.WebUI.WebDesktop" TagPrefix="ISWebDesktop" %>
If not, then you need to add it first at top under the .NET code file reference.

Yes it's true, in version history we only put the description without the bug number. Because usually the customer only check the bug description in the version history.

Yes, it's true the installation path need to be inside the C drive, it's by design by our development team. I will put this as feedback to our development team.
Also you can put in the Lounge forum for your installation issue for now.
Could you check whether the issue occured in new project? Also we will release our monthly hotfix around this week. You can try to download the latest hotfix for WebDesktop and Framework to check whether the error still occur or not.
