Hi Scott,
I can replicate your issue in our local end. Unfortunately, this problem happens because the Filter menu still same like on original value. For example, if the original column's data type is integer and valuelist change the text in the column into string data type, the filter menu's option still shown like integer filter menu.
I've submitted this issue as Work Item #1221 and make this high priority to be fixed to our developer. Sorry for this inconvenience and thank you for your valuable feedback.
Regards,
Bernard
Hi su su,
This problem happen in all Visual Studio. Visual Studio have limitation memory that load assemblies. When you put an assembly only in Bin folder, Visual Studio will load that assembly definitely. That's why if you only put ISNet.WebUI.Resources.dll, ISDataSource will successfully configured.
Hi Frank,
About the issue that you mentioned above, this problematic behaviour has been resolved in WebGrid 8 build 101. You can also update your WebGrid hotfix via Update Manager to get the latest WebGrid.
Hope this helps.
This problem occurs because the limitation of Visual Studio to generate auto-generate object from the assembly. To resolve this issue, I offered you this method:
1. Change the name of your Bin folder inside you project (Bin -> Bin_temp)
2. Make new Bin folder and put ISNet.WebUI.Resources.dll inside (you can copy from your old Bin folder)
3. Configure your ISDataSource
4. If ISDataSource successfully configured, delete the new Bin folder then Rename the old Bin folder to "Bin"
Hi Madhavan,
I can replicate your issue in our local end. I've submitted this issue to developer team as Work Item #1220. I'll let you know any news regarding this issue.
Thank you for your valuable feedback.
I tried to replicate your issue here by doing the steps that you mentioned above but unfortunately it works fine. Could you let me know the version of your WebGrid? If possible, could you give me a simple sample that replicate your issue so I can analyze your issue here? Look forward to hear any feedback from you so I can help you further.
I can replicate your 2nd issue here. Could you let me know the version of your WebGrid? I have submitted this issue as Work Item #1207. For now, you can put the value manually by typing the name of your column as ColumnMember. I'll let you know if I heard any news regarding this issue.
