Hi,

I tried to replicate your issue here. Unfortunately, this issue doesn't happen in our local end. I'm using Mozilla 24.0 and our controls (WebGrid 8, WebCombo 6, and framework build 906) and this issue doesn't happen. Is there any simple sample or steps that you can provide so we can check the problem here? Look forward to hear any feedback from you so I can help you further.

Bernard

Hi Alex,

We could change the exporting method like you tell us before. But we couldn't implement this method in our control because it will change all of our exporting mechanism. Actually, the result is will be the same between our method and stream method in exporting. By using our exporting method, it will create the file and it will prompt to download the file. After you download the file, the file will be deleted in your temporary folder. Is there any problem when you're using temp folder in your local end? I'll let our developer know any feedback that you gave to us. Hope this helps.

Bernard

Hi Luwen,

I tried to replicate your issue here. However, I couldn't replicate your issue by using your code above. When I enter edit mode on WebGrid and type the arrow key, it will immediately move to the next column or row. Although, it also depend from its editing control but it won't take much time to move to next column or next row. You can see the WebGrid performance video here. In my sample, I'm using default style because I don't have any of your defined styles. Also, could you let me know the version of WebGrid and browser that you're using to replicate this problem? Look forward to hear any feedback from you so I can help you further.

Bernard

Hi Alex,

I think this scenario couldn't be achieved in our WebScheduler because it is using ActiveReport engine to perform its export mechanism. However, we couldn't change its mechanism so I think WebScheduler still need a temporary folder to perform its exporting. Maybe, you could delete the file in temporary folder after you download the file. Hope this helps.

Hi Luwen,

Actually, I tried to replicate your issue here by implementing your setting in our WebGrid. However, I couldn't replicate the performance issue that happen when you navigate the focus cell by using Arrow Key. Could you explain me more detail about problem that you faced when using this WebGrid? If this problem happen because large data transfer, you can use our custom paging. But it will be better if you have any simple sample so I can trace where the problem comes from. Looking forward to hear any feedback from you so I can help you further. Hope this helps.

Bernard

Hi Alex,

I think it need to create a temporary file so it can be sent to the browser. However after you send the file, you could delete the file in your temporary folder. Hope this helps.

Hi Alex,

You could specify the report path on Export server side event. Here's the snippet code:

e.ReportInfo.IISReportPath = "/SchedulerReport/";

Please let me know if you have any further question regarding this matter. Hope this helps.

Bernard
