UXGridView and UxScrollViewer

Hi Balachander,

This is not a bug. When the UXGridView is defined within a UxScrollViewer, UXGridView's scroll bar (inside) doesn't work, because the height property is set to auto by default, so the height will set in to UXScrollViewer boundary. You have to define the height property if you want to enable scroll bar inside UXGridView.

Paging through Groups?

Hi Adelhard,

VirtualLoad paging mode can limit the rows size which rendered to client to save bandwidth and server's resources in a web appliacations. But unfortunately, Virtual load paging mode works in following ways :

  1. When no group columns exist in top level table.
  2. When group columns exist in top level table, all parent group rows will be rendered to clients but only a number of defined rows are rendered counted from the first parent group row. Therefore, it is able to keep server's bandwidth usage as minimal as possible, while displaying all necessary information. When users click on "+" to expand group row, the control will transparently and virtually load the child rows of that group of row.

Horizontal Scrolling Issue

Have you receive an replied email from me (July, 9th 2011, 8:16AM GMT+7) ? 

For further investigation, please install intersoft 2011 R1 SP1 trial version on your laptop, and run your sample, so that the issue replicate on your laptop and please allow me to remote your laptop. It will very help me to investigate your issue.

Webgrid set culture

Hello,

When you add en-US culture (to common library, not use smart web resources), the file "wglang_en-US.xml" will be create automatically. By default, all other resources will also create using the default culture, but some of resources like "copy this row" is missed by us. So we can't call it as bug.

Webgrid set culture

Unfortunately we cannot replace it with the default culture, because we must define what culture that we use, so the WebGrid know what file(.xml) that should be reverted.

So now, could you please explain me what I did wrong and why the english resource disappears using "en-US" culture, though still present in "default.xml" (see "<CopySelection>Copy Selection</CopySelection>")?

Regarding to your question above, the english resource disappears using en-US culture though still present in default.xml(en-US), because when you use en-US, WebGrid doesn't revert to default.xml altough it use en-US culture. To solve this problem, You have to create the resource of en-US culture (wglang_en-US.xml). I have tried to copy all data in default.xml to en-US culture file and it works as well as ex2.PNG. If you think that default.xml can solve en-US culture, you can follow my way to copy the resources from default.xml to wglang_en-US.xml.

Restore Expand CollapseGrouping State for multiple Level

Hello Mubarack,


This code has a logic that can restore only for first level of grouping. To restore more than one level of childRow, you need to add other variable that can store not only row index but also group index in the WebGrid, and other logic to restore.

Here I attach a simple runable sample that show you how to restore Expand and collapse grouping state for multiple level in WebGrid.

Horizontal Scrolling Issue

Hi Ahmed,

I use VS10 SP1 with .NET 4.0 framework and it can open your sample without any browser setting.

Could you clear the cache in the temporary files, please ? The folder is in C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files.
Note that v4.0.30319 is .NET framework version that I use.

Then, open your project and remove the WebGrid resources in bin folder. And try to re-add the new one from C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\WebUI Studio for ASP.NET\WebGrid.NET 7.0\Bin.
