Thanks. Works beautifully.

Hello,

I tried this code on both provided mailmerge samples; but it does not seem to work as intended.  Only the preview tab in the bottom bar of the editor disappears (

WebTextEditor.GetPreviewTabElement().style.display = "none";

).  Nothing else happens: the merged data does not transfer to the design view, and the editor does not switch from preview to design view; the mail merge toolbar remains visible; the design view toolbars do not show. I initialized as follows:

<ClientSideEvents OnInitialize="WebTextEditor_OnInitialize" />

Could you please check this code, or send me the sample in which you tested successfully?

Regards

Jean

Hello Glenn:

I cannot open the modified sample you sent.  It says that the zip file is invalid or corrupted.

Please check the file and post again.

Jean

Andi,

Thanks for your quick reply. I am not yet well versed in handling communications with database.  As you know, the WebScheduler_EventOrganizer database is used with WebScheduler, and I do not know if and how modifying its associated .xsd file to include these queries will affect WebSecheduler behavior.

In my scenario, I need to create an option allowing to add, edit, and delete records in the Categories and Resources tables of the EventOrganizer database, but I need to do this outside of WebScheduler, from a separate page. The changes should then be visible in WebScheduler when WebScheduler is refreshed.

If there is a simpler way to accomplish this without modifying the .xsd files, could you please provide a code snippet, or revise the sample that I sent you previously?

Best Regards

Jean

Handy,

It appears that both codes you provided above prevent all events, including future events, from being edited. Could you please revise so that only overdue events (i.e. past today) cannot be edited.

Thanks

Jean

Hello Andi,

I have replaced the .dll files and the problem has been resolved.  This function now works beautifully.

Only one thing.  The javascript files that you included with this nightly build caused major errors when used.  So I had to remove them.  Basically, the new .dll files you sent me and the scripts already included in the current release fixed this issue.

If I should notice any other issues after installing this nightly build, I will let you know.

Thank you; your assitance is much appreciated.

Best regards,

Jean

Andi,

Thank you for your quick reply.

I have attached two screenshots to illustrate what is happening. The error appears to occur in the Editing Form Loader script.  I do not know where this script is generated from.

I did not see Desktop being involved in your screenshot.  Please test again by (1) loading Desktop.aspx (present in my initial sample); (2) loading WebTab from the "Scenario 1" shortcut on the desktop; (3) clicking the WebScheduler tab; and (4) editing any event in Webscheduler.

Thanks

Jean

Hello Andi.

Thank you.  Works beautifully.

Jean

Thanks Andy.  Works great.

You disrespect us, your customers, when you do not provide quality support and feedback and waste our time.  You should really head your own signature of "Providing the most excellent technical support for Intersoft customers. Your satisfaction is our success." because so far that hasn't been the case from my perspective.  And when I say "you" I mean InterSoft and not you personally.

Who made you the spokeperson for all of us?

If you were a little less condescending and arrogant, perhaps you could get your point accross and actually get the help you need.

You could also try to assert your apparent sense of superiority by writing your own components.  This way, you can talk down to yourself as much as you desire when things do not work the way you demand them to.
