Hello,

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We are really appreciate it.
There is a difference way to display iframe in IE9.

Example, if the parent in XHTML pages, the iframe would be forced to load in XHTML too.
As you know, many of our samples used HTML mode as default which would be rendered as quirk mode.
When forced to XHTML, it would be break some scripts unless we changed the doctype in the sample or support some products in XHTML.
However, if you open the sample in “new tab” or “new window” or “IE8”, it will work fine.

For the future, we are planning to customize our samples in HTML5 mode which would also resolve this issue as well.

Regards,
Hans

Hello,

Could you tell me, how do you bind the WebCombo to database?
If you bind your WebCombo in server side, you should bind your WebCombo in InitializeDataSource event.
I attached the example project, in order to make easier understand, how to bind WebCombo in InitializeDataSource event.
In my sample, I’m using Nortwind.mdb database and Shippers table.

Or if you don’t mind, could you send me, the sample project that indicates your issue and the step by step to reproduce your issue?

Hello,

You have two options get the latest hotfix:
1) From Intersoft Update Manager Application
Click Start > All Programs > Intersoft WebUI Studio 2010 R2 > Update Manager.
Intersoft Update Manager will establish connection to Intersoft's Web Service by using HTTP protocol. Make sure you have connected to Internet before performing Updates scan. The Update Manager also scans your computer for any valid Components and submit the required information in order to obtain the Updates. You can then choose the updates that you want to download or install it automatically.
You should license your product before using Update Manager application.

To know how license your product, please follow this link below:

2) Or from Intersoft Developer Network (http://dev2.intersoftpt.com/)
An account in Intersoft Developer Network will be created for every registered customer. Please login into the Intersoft Developer Network and open the ‘My Components’ section. The hotfix files can be manually downloaded from the ‘Hotfix’ tab of ‘MyComponents’ window.

Hello,

My apologize for this the inconvenience.
Have you try the WebCombo latest hotfix?
If no, please try to update the WebCombo to the latest hotfix. Then let me know if the issue still persists or not.
If yes, Would you mind to tell me, step-by-step how to reproduce your issue?
Or could you create a simple runnable project that replicates this issue, so that I can investigate the issue from my end?

Thank you.
Regards,
Hans.

Hello,

Thank you for the project.
After I investigated your project, I found out that this issue occurs when the project is using .NET Framework version 3.5 (or in VS 2008).
I’ve tried your project by using .NET Framework version 4 (in VS 2010). And it works fine.
We apologized for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.
I would report this issue to our development team. I’ll let you know when the issue has been fixed.

Thank you for understanding.
Regards,
Hans.

Hello,

Thank you for your sample.
My apologize for the inconvenience.
I’ve made a sample project base on your sample. I set the DropDownList to “Other”.
I’ve tested the sample in IE9, Firefox, Opera, Chrome, and Safari as well.
I’m using the framework version .803 and the webCombo version 5.0.7200.12 indeed.
But unfortunately, I can’t replicate your issue on my end.
I attached the screenshot of my sample’s result (WebCombo_UpdatePanel.png)

You said that you want to set a specific value in the TextBox. However, in your code, there is only the code to set the TextBox’s visibility.
Would you mind to tell me, step-by-step how to reproduce your issue?

Also please make sure that assembly file in your project bin folder are using the latest hotfix version.

Thank you.
Regards,
Hans.
