Hello,

Like I said in my prior post, if you use Intersoft control, for example WebGrid, in Internet Explorer 8, you should use HTML4 Doctype the set the “RenderingMode” property value to “Quirks”.

If you want to use WebGrid in Internet Explorer 11, you should use HTML5 Doctype the set the “RenderingMode” property value to “HTML5”.

So I suggest you to make two different WebGrid page, the first one use HTML4 and the other one use HTML5 doctype, because by default, HTML4 and HTML5 have different behavior indeed.

Thank you.

Hans K.

Hello,

Thank you for the question regarding Intersoft product.

Basically, the current Intersoft live demo is using HTML5 doctype and by default, Internet Explorer 8 doesn’t support HTML5 doctype.

If you want to use Intersoft control in Internet Explorer 8, please try to use HTML4 then set the ‘RenderingMode’ property to ‘Quirks’.

I apologize for any inconvenience this problem may have caused you.

Regards,
Hans K.

Hello,

I apologize for any inconvenience this problem may have caused you.

Thank you for the question regarding WebGrid.

If you don’t mind, could you help me to provide me the step by step guidance how can I reproduce this issue?
Or could you provide me the simple runnable sample that replicates this issue?
So that I can investigate this issue further more.

Could you resend the screenshot, because I can’t receive the screenshot properly?
However this time, please kindly try to upload the image to another server, then provide me the download link.

Have you try to use HTML 5 Doctype in your webpage and set the RenderingMode property to ‘HTML5’?

Have you try to use the latest WebGrid & Intersoft Framework assembly version?

Thank you.

Hans K.

Hello,

Thank you for the reply.

Basically, WebGrid doesn’t support compatibility view mode.
Could you provide me the screenshot regarding:
- “In IE11, Gridview is expanded over its border”, and
- “Chrome, the headings in the ribbon is not showed”.

Could you inform me your current WebGrid assembly version & Intersoft Framework assembly version?
Have you try to use the latest assembly version?

Could you inform me your current Chrome browser version as well?

Thank you.

Regards,
Hans K.

Hello,

Thank you for your question regarding WebGrid.

In WebGrid samples, you could set or modify the doctype declaration at “DefaultMaster.master” page.
For further information regarding doctype declaration, please kindly follow this link.

You also could set the “RenderingMode” property to specify the HTML rendering behavior applied in WebGrid control.
You could read more information regarding RenderingMode property, from this link.

Thank you.

Hello,

I apologize for any inconvenience this problem may have caused you.

It seems the issue occurs due to the WebCombo hasn’t loaded the data (showing dropdown) while you try save the modified value. So the WebCombo set the value to empty value.
Please try to wait until WebCombo loaded / found the same data with your input.

Thank you.

Regards,
Hans K.
