Hi Yudi,

The file I couldn't cancel was ClientUI Ribbon Application.rar attached previously. I didn't test with other files.

About Update Manager. I believe I found the problem. I found in the registry that the previous version keys wasn't removed. I removed those and problem solved.

Regards,

Dave

Yudi,

I'm using the workaround I suggested. Keeping the transparent background and rising the resolution to 96p. No need to change background color or saving as jpg.

Regarding the cancel files uploading button. This happens on the community site.
I'm using Firefox 18.0.1 not tested with IE or Chrome.

About Update Manager. I'm connected directly to the Internet, no proxy. Firewall rules are oke (disable or enable makes the same).
It used to work with the previous version 2012 R1 but it doesn't work with 2012 R2.

Hi Bernard,

Thank you for your quick reply and for providing me a workaround.

I followed the link and see that it was reported since 2011. Could this issue be followed so the live samples no longer requires switching regional settings?

Thanks,

Dave

Yudi,

I've attached the sample code. It uses the ClientUI Ribbon Application sample.

For the purpose of the sample, I've only added TooltipImagePath to the first 3 RibbonButtons.

As you ca see in the 2 images, the first one is correctly displayed and the second one is resized (more bigger). Both images are 128x128 px.

Btw, the cancel files uploading button doesn't work, and also the Intersoft Update Manager throws an error: 'Unable to connect to the remote server'.

Update:

I found the issue. The problem is with the images of 72p resolution. A 96p resolution it doesn't get resized.

Hi Hans,

By the second issue, do you mean the UXRibbonApplicationMenu-2 image?
If so, to reproduce, just drag the app's window outside of the bonds of the screen, leaving only like around half of the app's screen, then open the application menu and the issue will show up, since the BackstageView is taking into account the edge of the screen instead of the own app window, like it should.

Regarding the width limit of the app's window, when you try to manually resize it, by draging the edge of the app's window the most you can, you'll find out that there's a width size limit (not sure of the height since I have widescreen). In other words, it doesn't let you to make it more wider. So, I was wondering if this is by design? Since there's no max width set in code, theorically should allow an unlimited width.

Thank you for your attention,

Dave

Hi,

FYI, It is NOT fixed yet with latest 2012 R2 version. This bug has been here since the 1st time Ribbon was introduced.

Yudi,

The first version of DevForce 2012 (non-beta) was 7.0.2. It is now 7.0.3 and the biggest feature of this specific version is the support of enum. Previous versions like 7.0.0 and 7.0.1 were beta.

A detailed information is on IdeaBlade's webpage.

Also, just an observation (no offense), but I find hard to believe that as a partner of IdeaBlade, you know less about their new product than a simple customer.

Edit:

Also, the bug found on this thread is not fixed:

http://www.intersoftpt.com/Community/ClientUI/UXRibbonButton-not-showing-completely/

Haven't check the work item #662, posted here:

http://www.intersoftpt.com/Community/ClientUI/Setting-IsSelected-property-to-True-hangs-Visual-Studio-2012/

But I believe is also not fixed yet since there's no update about the issue.

I just saw Intersoft WebUI Studio 2012 R2 is now available, but as I'm seeing in the What's New, there's no support for latest and greatest DevForce 2012 v7.0.3.

Handy,

I'm reopening this thread since it also happens when manually creating the Ribbon.
The RibbonButtons I manually added are not shown correctly (cropped from the right), and the BackstageView is also not properly displayed (a bit bigger and one pixel to the bottom and like 2 pixel to the right).

So, in summary, is not only with the template.

Regards,
Dave
