Hi Yudi,

Just to let know that Visual Studio 2013 just hit RTM and is available for download.

Hi Yudi,

Thanks for looking into it.
I'm somehow glad to know I'm not the only one experiencing this issue.
I'll be waiting for your reply...

Dave

That's also great news.. Hope it is because of the near release of Visual Studio 2013.
I don't know you guys but VS2012 have a lot of problems with the XAML designer, in VS2013 is a lot better but can't tell how much since a lot of components we use are not compatible yet with this version.

Thanks for the information,

Have a nice weekend,
Dave

Thanks for keeping us informed. :)
Does the Premier Full Setup also got updated? Or only the Mobile Studio Full Setup?

Have a nice day,
Dave

Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for the reply. Do you have any ETA of this feature? It is going to get released through the Update Manger or is expected for 2013 R2?

I'm asking since I was very excited to use Crosslight in an already finished Android and iOS project.

About the compilation issues. There are indeed missing resources and regarding the version of Xamarin, I'm using the latest; the only thing I changed in the Android projects was to target the API 17 (Android 4.2).

Xamarin Studio
Version 4.0.12 (build 3)
Runtime:
Microsoft .NET 4.0.30319.18052
GTK 2.24.20
GTK# (2.12.0.0)

Xamarin.Android
Version: 4.8.1 (Business Edition)
Android SDK: C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk
Supported Android versions:
1.6 (API level 4)
2.2 (API level 8)
4.0.3 (API level 15)
4.2 (API level 17)
Java SDK: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0_25
java version "1.7.0_25"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_25-b17)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 23.25-b01, mixed mode, sharing)

I'm not using Xamarin in Windows, I'm instead using Visual Studio 2012 Update 3 in a Windows 7 64bit SP1 platform. But regardless of that, I'm using the latest version of mono, Xamarin.Android, which are the minimum required versions for Crosslight.

Still some samples throws exceptions which seems to be related to the Crosslight library.

Dave
Hi Handy,

Thanks for your reply.
I tried to use the UXWindow without success in the WPF sample. However, I could made it work by using the UXGlassWindow but experienced another issues which made the workaround not worth it.

The issues I got so far are:

  • Backstage Menu not properly aligned, is slightly to the right side. (this was an issue in UXGlassWindow which is fixed now)
  • Contextual Tab have some display issues. It also creates problems when trying to click on the Quick Access Toolbar.
  • Need some tweaks in xaml for rendering a background.

In other words, the workaround fixes the issue when displaying a UXDialogBox, but cames with the expense of another ones.

Please, fill a work item for both issues and let me know about the progress of the those.

Thanks,

Regards,
Dave

Hi Yudi,

I was still looking for a way to achieve the same look and feel and your sample was very helpful.
I took the ScrollViewerControlTemplate code and use it in the xaml style and it is now working as expected.

Thanks a lot for your kind help!

Dave

Thanks Yudi for your reply and for trying...

I really liked to have the same look and feel of the style using the UXScrollViewer but seems it is not possible in WPF.

Thanks anyway for your effort.

Update:

I also noticed that when the dialog is shown and I press the Alt key, the UXRibbonKeyTipService is responding. See screenshot.

Also the keytips are topmost, so for instance if there are shown and I open another window, it is also in front of this window too.

Last but not least, is not correctly rendered.

Good day,

While waiting for the work item number... Is there a workaround for disabling the Ribbon like shown in the screenshot I provided in first post?

Thank you,
Dave
