Good day,
The updated version of Xamarin.Android.Support.v4 rev 20.0.0.3 published on August 5th doesn't work with the new version of Crosslight build 2.0.5000.65. It only works with the supplied Crosslight version of Xamarin.Android.Support.v5 which is outdated.
This is the exception:
The type 'Android.Support.V4.App.Fragment' is defined in an assembly that is not referenced. Yo must add a reference to assembly 'Xamarin.Android.Support.v4, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71f3e3261ac778b5'
The problem is the original Xamarin.Android.Support.v4 doesn't have a PublicKeyToken (null).
Also, the release notes states that the location of the dll is on /Program Files/Intersoft Solutions/Crosslight 2/common/Xamarin/Android while it is on \Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\Crosslight 2\Common\packages\Xamarin\Android
Why your package uses a PublicKeyToken while the original does not?
In order to be able to use the updated versions, the reference should be against a package with non PublicKeyToken.
Regards,
Dave
Crosslight uses signed assembly. It explains why does the updated version of Xamarin.Android.Support.v4 (published on August 5, 2014) doesn't work with the Crosslight's assembly.
I enclosed the signed assembly of Xamarin.Android.Support.v4 as attachment. Please have the attached assembly tested on your end and let us know whether it helps or not.
The Crosslight development team has a plan to create a tool that can be used by developers to create the signed assembly of Xamarin.Android.Support.v4. I will keep you informed when the tool is ready.
Please be patient while we complete the tool. I will keep this thread updated with any news I heard from the team regarding the signing tool.
Hello Yudi,
is this tool already final with the version attached to this blog entry or will there be another "official" version?
Thanks,
Thomas

As far as I know, the tool hasn't completed yet. Could you please provide me with more information regarding the terms: "this blog entry" in the quoted sentence above?
Your post (see above):
Has an attachment "Xamarin.Android.Support.v4.rar" with the signing tool.
With "this blog entry" I meant "your post from August...".
Thank you for the confirmation.
Yes, the Xamarin.Android.Support.v4.rar file is the final version.
