I tried to install the WebUI Studio 2010 R2 on my Visual Studio 2010 but the toolbox controls and Intersoft Project templates do not show. Is there any way I can get this to work? Why do I have such a problem with this issue? I am attempting to uninstall and reinstall WebUI Studio 2010 R2 to see what happens.
This is what the log file generated when I tried to manually install the controls using the Toolbox installer:

Could you please let us know the detail specification of your development PC? We will test to install the Intersoft WebUI Studio 2010 R2 on our tester PC that has similar specification in order to determine what may have caused the issue.
About the issue where the controls are not registered to Visual Studio’s toolbox, you can try to use the “Intersoft ToolBox Utility for Visual Studio” application. The application can be found in start > All Programs > Intersoft WebUI Studio 2010 R2 > Intersoft ToolBox Utility for Visual Studio. Intersoft Visual Studio Toolbox Utility will register Intersoft Controls based on the selected platform (the version of Visual Studio used in the development PC).
Hope this helps.
Yudi,
Perhaps I wasn't making myself completely clear in the first post, but I did use the Toolbox Install Utility that you suggested and that is why I got the log.txt file. When I ran the Intersoft Visual Studio Toolbox Utility, it attempts to run the registration of the toolbox and after running for about a minute or so, I get the following dialogue box that displays:
An error occured when re-registering the toolbox. Please check the log.txt file.
My machine is a Dell Inspiron E1705 running Windows Vista Ultimate. I have Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate installed and I don't know what the issue is. I also have Telerik's RadControls toolbox installed on my development environment and for some reason that installed without a hitch. Is there anything that you have encountered that could be causing this problem? Please let me know. Thanks!
I apologize for any inconvenience this problem may have caused you.
I forgot to inform you that you need to close all Microsoft Visual Studio before running the “Intersoft ToolBox Utility for Visual Studio”. I will have the log file examined for further investigation.
Meanwhile, please try to manually install the ClientUI controls to Visual Studio 2010 ToolBox by following the steps below.
Open a Silverlight project in Visual Studio 2010 application.
Create or open a xaml file in design view.
In the designer view, refer to the ToolBox on the left side.
Right-click on the ToolBox and choose Add Tab.
Named the new tab as “Intersoft ClientUI”.
Right-click on the created Tab and select Choose Items.
Browse and add Intersoft.Client.UI.Aqua.dll from "C:\Program Files\Intersoft Solutions\ClientUI 4\Silverlight 4\Bin" folder.
In the Choose Toolbox Items window, check the UXAutoFitDockPanel; UXAutoFitStackPanel; UXButton; UXCallOut; UXCheckBox; UXContextMenu; UXDockTray; UXDropDownButton; UXFlatButton; UXFlatRepeatButton; UXHyperlinkButton; UXMenu; UXMenuBar; UXMenuItem; UXNavigationButton; UXOVerflowStackPanel; UXRadioButton; UXRepeatButton; UXScroller; UXSeparator; UXSplitButton; UXStatusBar; UXStatusBarItem; UXToggleButton; UXToolBar; UXToolBarButton; and UXToolGroup.
Tips: click on the “Assembly Name” column to have the list sorted by the “Assembly Name” field. It will help a lot to determine which items that added from previous step.
Click OK to add the controls.
You can try to repeat the step for other controls by browse and add another assembly from the same folder location.

The above line from the generated log file, as shown in the quoted message, says that the application –Intersoft ToolBox Utility for Visual Studio– is having problem while trying to open Visual Studio 2010 design time environment trough code. There are many conditions that may cause this issue, such as: the user account that tries to run the application is not an administrator; the Visual Studio 2010 may still open; etc.
Please try to run the application using an administrator user account (or run it as administrator) and ensure that all of the Visual Studio 2010 has been closed.
Please let us know your response.
I opened the toolbox utility and ran it as an Administrator. While the toolbox utility was running, I was watching the processes to make sure the Visual Studio development environment did not run or was not opened. Apparently, devenv.exe, which is the process that runs when Visual Studio 2010 is running starts to run. How do I keep that process closed while running the utility? I think the software is great, but I would prefer not having to add a new tab with all the tools everytime I open a new project.
It is normal that when running “Intersoft ToolBox Utility for Visual Studio” application, the devenv.exe process start to run. This is due to the registering toolbox process that will try to open Visual Studio 2010 design-time environment through code.
We just need to ensure that all Microsoft Visual Studio is closed before running the application.
Normally, we only need to run this application one time in order to register Intersoft’s control into VS2010 toolbox. Should you have different result, please kindly let us know.
